Not in for the karma, but you are a good man. I hope your parents are well and dry.

My brother in law lives in Houston. His family came north to central Texas before the hurricane hit. They left yesterday, taking with them toiletries and bedding to donate on our behalf when they arrive back in Houston.

Thank you for this gesture. Hopefully Harvey will be throttling down soon.

Please enter me for this LMT rifle.

I am in the airport and on my way there now. I work as a catastrophe adjuster for a commercial insurance carrier. My first stop is a children's hospital that was flooded out.

An extremely generous karma.
Be safe to all invisible Texas friends.

That very generous of you, please count me in.

I'm helping by sending four 3K generators from my Signal company to a Signal BN to support tactical communications in Texas to tie in with federal relief efforts. I will eventually get them back since they are on my property book, but this will help with Army support.

My brother made it out of Houston permanently just a few month ago. But our friends in Conroe are safe but stranded. I gave to the Salvation Army to aid. Locally I'm helping to ensure Coast Guard aircrews are ready to go. God Speed with them.

I'd like a chance. We've given what we could. My wife has relatives in Houston that live just outside the flooded areas, a little more rain and they would have had to evacuate. We can look at the pictures and feel bad but there's no way to understand what its like to lose everything you have.

You are the most generous person I've never met, I want to buy you lunch and shake your hand one day.

I was told today that I will be part of the second wave headed to Houston in two weeks. We sent out 3 18 wheelers full of supplies/food/water this morning. Sounds like we will be escorting another group of 18 wheelers down and then spend two weeks helping HPD handle 911 calls.

Please enter me in the karma, if I win I'll sell it here and donate the money. There are a ton of fellow Texans in greater need than me right now.

Please count me in, but it's not for me, per se.
I'd like a shot to pass this on to a good friend and amazing guy.

He's originally from Houston but lives here in Birmingham. Monday he and a friend loaded up his truck with as much gas, diesel, and water as he could haul, along with a borrowed aluminum boat. It didn't take him long to get in the mix helping evacuating folks out of the flood waters.

Thank you for your amazing generosity!

Here's a pic he sent last night heading out on another run...

Working on gathering bottled water and canned food to be gathered at my desk at work. I will then haul whatever is gathered to second harvest. Other folks here are going to second harvest to help package up/load.

Will also be sending money to our daughters school to help their fundraising efforts.

Have reached out to some folks I know in the region and told them to simple ask for anything they might need. Things will probably have to stabilize a bit before I could get it to them but I would help them however I could.

It's so little as to be insignificant but I hope it helps.

I donated money to Samaritan's Purse.
I have a ton of nice clothes I no longer fit into that will go to Goodwill or another organization.

Please count me in. You are very generous to make such an offer. Whomever should win the karma, the gift should be a constant reminder of the importance of giving.

Wonderfully generous of you in the way you support the members of this forum.

I'm sitting this Karma out and hope that the winner ends up being someone with a great story to tell and feels good about the impact they had in assisting those affected by this disaster.
