^^ That reminds me of a Hawaiian wedding cake a girlfriend made for me. She made it for me and my roommate but I ate the whole thing (Hell, I was her boyfriend). Before you judge me, you didn't taste this cake. But then, neither did my roommate. | |||

Red velvet with the dense, way to sweet cream cheese icing. Not that fluffy stuff. As a kid I also loved prune (spice) cake with the thin, firm caramel glaze from a regional bakery (Colonial) but I haven’t had the kind I loved in decades. Coconut or German chocolate would be a fall back choice. Happy Birthday! | |||
