Not sure if all Canadian's hate us - but I know that I strongly dislike many of the Canadian hikers that find there way down into the White Mnts of NH. I've never seen so much litter and garbage discarded on trails and parking lots as what I see from Canadians.

Before I married Mrs Pulicords, I had a French Canadian girlfriend for awhile. Through her and after hunting in Canada for waterfowl and big game, it became apparent that there's noticeable rifts between the French Canadians and the English side, the urban Canadians and their rural counterparts, the "First Nations" peoples and virtually everyone else (including recent immigrants).

On one of my hunting trips, a big issue developed after my guide misrepresented (unknown to me) my status as a paying client from the USA to a local landowner. The guy held a grudge against Americans hunting on his property because of the restrictions against shipping Canadian beef to our country after the "Madcow Disease" embargo DECADES AGO, yet he gladly drives down to my home state of Arizona as a snowbird to escape the cold fall and winter months. It's a strange situation, considering how much respect I showed him and other other locals during my visit (including offering him some of the moose meat I harvested from a bull taken on his land), not to mention the cash my presence provided during my visit.

Yeah, the Canadian snowbirds here are not my favorite. Some of the worst on the roadways, and zero awareness that you can turn right on red here.

Hmmm. A few years ago my son's Cub Scout pack was camping at a state park near St. Augustine, FL. Walking to the showers, I noticed two young women with Canadian license plates stuffing their garbage behind some trees or bushes (don't recall which), and they caught me looking at them. The trash bins were literally less than 50' away. After I showered, I passed by the other direction, and decided to see if the trash was still there, and yes it was. I used my phone to take a picture of it with their vehicle tags clearly visible. Immediately, they scurried over and picked up their trash. Yes, they did dispose of it properly, because I watched to make sure they did. No words exchanged, but they knew I knew what pigs they were.

It used to be true, idk if it still is, that Canadians could ignore speeding tickets because they weren't prevented from crossing the border with unpaid tickets. That was back when we lived in upstate NY and watched the Canadians blow past all the US license plates at high speed.

For me, the fines and the increased insurance costs are plenty of deterrence to excessive speeding.

The conversion is the other way. A Canuck driving in a posted 45 mph speed zone, but follows the 45 kph indicator in their car are actually driving 28 mph. Very frustrating getting stuck behind them in a no passing zone.

Yeah I know the conversion that kph is slower than mph. Back when 55mph was the speed limit everywhere on the east coast, the Canadian plate vehicles were doing 70+ mph on the interstates. I don't remember ever being behind a Canadian vehicle doing slower than the speed limit.

I see. Most of the Canadian plates around here drive slow, perhaps because they are snowbirds. Since I haven't seen hot rod Canadians, I thought we got the conversion twisted.

I'm invariably stuck behind two types of license plates in Florida: Ontario and Minnesota.

I dated a gal for a short-time who was from Toronto but was working in the US for PWC. I mentioned maybe we could visit my cousin who had married a Canadian and lived outside of Toronto. He was a big time outdoorsman, an enthusiast in subsistence living and every other weekend they were at their cabin (north of Barrie) fishing and hunting, stocking their freezer with moose, deer, musky, walleye and whatever else. She spit out a number of French/Quebecois words that I can only assume were insults and immediately dismissed that idea. We only lasted about 6 months, she despised the fact i was a gun owner and 2A but there was some insight into a mindset I wasn't aware of in urban Canada.

I don’t know if Canada hates us but I hate their government. Honestly I don’t care at all what Canada or Canadians think of the USA. I only wish they would not elect such tyrannical progressive shit head governments.

I would not mind seeing the revocation of dual-citizenship for Canadians. (and all other Nations)

Pick a country and live with it.

The exception would be if you are serving/served honorably in the US Armed Forces.

The South Jersey Shore used to be a favorite vacation spot for Canadians. Cape May, Wildwood, Ocean City and Atlantic City to name a few places. Beach House rentals in Cape May and Wildwood were rented by large numbers of Canadians. The Jersey Shore is a one day drive (if you start early) from parts of Canada that are close to the border.. I used to see Canadian DL plates all the time when I visited the Jersey shore. Not any more. I remember seeing a news report about the collapse of Canadian visitors at the Jersey shore. There was a local TV interview with a guy who owned some shore properties. He said that he heard from lots of his Canadian summer rental tenants that they would no longer be visiting the US or spending money on US products. The reason they cited was Trumps comments about making Canada the 51 state (which they did not find funny) and of course the tarriffs.

I've been getting emails every week from rental agencies from one of the towns you didn't mention, where we've rented nearly every summer since my parents started it in 1967. This is the first summer they are pushing rentals for next week, every week. Usually the rentals are all sold out ahead of time. This year they have numerous nice deals every week.

Canadians boycotting? Probably also a sign of the economy.
