Well so far this turd has entered the country illegally, filed false documents and murdered a person. Lord knows what else he has done but the libs want him to have all the rights of a citizen. Lock him up and toss the key, or better yet just turn him loose in the general prison population, he likely won't last too long amongst the more "honorable" inmates.

this is the WRONG answer

locking him up costs us more money...he's not worth it

Yesterday the attorney for Cristhian Bahena Rivera, the illegal alien accused of murdering Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts, claimed during a court appearance his client was in the country legally and that he had been unfairly targeted by President Trump.

But according to federal immigration officials, Rivera is in the country illegally. This fact was reconfirmed yesterday after Rivera's attorney made his false statement in court.

Rivera was in the country illegally and used a stolen identification to satisfy a federal background check at the farm where he worked, according to law enforcement officials and statements Wednesday by his former employer.

During a news conference Wednesday, Dane Lang said Rivera provided a state issued photo identification and a social security card when he applied for a job at Yarrabee Farms nearly four years ago.

But those documents were false, Lang said.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Cristhian Bahena Rivera's lawyer had said:

"The government is incorrectly promoting the idea that Rivera is not in Iowa legally, attorney Allen Richards of Tama said in a court document asking for a gag order in the case."

"Sad and sorry Trump has weighed in on this matter in national media which will poison the entire possible pool of jury members," Richards wrote, referencing a statement from the president citing Tibbetts' death as an example why "immigration laws are such a disgrace."

"Rivera has lived in Iowa for four to seven years, working at Yarrabee Farms, a Brooklyn-area farm owned by Eric Lang, the brother of Craig Lang, a prominent Republican."

"Craig Lang has verified that Rivera is in Iowa legally, according to Richards’ motion. "

^^^ I think being in this country illegally for 4-7 years is pretty much the same as being here legally. There's sort of a magic metamorphosis that takes place, especially if you have stolen someone else's ID.

Guess that cheap labor has a bit of a cost on the back end. This is a common scene around farm country all over the midwest. They cry for immigration to leave their "workers" alone and then cry for them to remove them when they murder, rape and steal from them. Every one of them played their part in her murder and that cuts across party lines. The Demorats want the voters, the republicans want the slave labor. Want to bet they replace this guy with another illegal alien with 3 months?

A plan is just a list of things that don't happen.

Likely not. Iowa is home to several sanctuary cities. More importantly, several large employers use immigrant labor to a great degree and make that clear to their state representatives.

Wrong. Iowa has no "sanctuary cities" - never has had any. In fact, Iowa's Governor Kim Reynolds (R) signed a law this spring that prevents any Iowa city from becoming one. One of the key points that the Dems in the legislature brought up to fight this bill is that "we have never had any sanctuary cities, so no problems exist and we don't need the law" They lost.

She signed it, but not everyone is complying.

What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? I understand the police have him in custody meaning they probably have good reason to believe he did it but still.
"but still" what? He's not an American citizen. He's a foreign criminal invader. If you want sympathy for this stinking sack of shit, you need to look elsewhere.

You don't seem to be so interested in due process in this thread, and that's an American you're talking about, unlike the foreign garbage you're defending here.

This nation has been overrun by this foreign criminal filth and we're all sick of it.

I thought illegal aliens were afforded due process under our law? But I cede to you point about the special forces soldier. He is innocent until proven guilty.

Anyone on our soil is afforded the same rights as anyone who is actually a citizen. When I was in the CG we had a "wet foot/dry foot" policy, basically saying that as long as the subject was caught in the sea he could be shipped out immediately and there was no process besides deportation (unless the word "amnesty" was uttered). IF caught on the shore we turned them over to Customs.

So, the suspect should get a trail and afforded an attorney and given a quick deportation after they don't hang him and he has served his sentence....but what do I know?

I agree with you 100% about the cost or his worth, but Iowa has no death penalty so I hope the other inmates "Do what is right."

This is so terribly sad and our family is heart-broken for Mollie and her family as we have been praying for them that she would be found alive and now for peace and comfort. The sorry excuse for an opportunistic, self-serving, dirtbag animal, deserves so much more than simply life in prison. Stalks her like a dog and then claims the dark unknown all of a sudden took hold of him and made him kill her. Build the freaking wall already! Mad

As a father having our oldest daughter just having started college this week, and this infuriating tragedy being all over the headlines, has cause me yet again (I've lost count) to give both her and her two year younger sister the "Dad talk" I've been imparting on them for a long time now. Never allow yourself to fall into a false sense of security regardless of where you are or what you may be doing. Be self aware, and of those around you, and make the best choices possible to not put yourself in a disadvantageous situation, Always be aware of your surroundings and how you may need to react or respond in a confrontation or sudden moment of danger, especially when out and about on their own. The overprotective Dad in me knows I can't always be everywhere to help try and protect them anymore and it does make me uneasy at times given the state of our social and political climate, but I know that at least I have done everything I can to educate them and make them more aware of the world and the dangers in it. That, and I have provided them with the knowledge and means to defend themselves in the hopefully unlikely event they are confronted with a bad situation.

God bless you Mollie and family and may you find swift justice in this case.

OK, Geraldo. I'll challenge you. If the "entire population" of which you speak will stand up and fight against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION ALIENS (edited per BMR's post), then I might...MIGHT...not paint them with the same broad brush strokes. But until that day, expect it, pal.

It's kinda like the Muslims in this country celebrating when the towers fell and the Pentagon was demolished. Until I hear ONE MUSLIM stand up and DENOUNCE what the radical muslims are doing, guess what...same broad brush strokes until "they" give me a reason not to doubt them.

Any questions, Geraldo?

John Lott, one of the most rigorous and thorough statisticians in the country, did a study of crimes committed by illegal aliens in Arizona. We hear over and over again-- as from that jackwad Geraldo-- that they are law abiding, more so that the general American population. BULL SHIT! Or, as my immigrant grandfather would say, BOOLA SHEETHA!

On toast.

Here is the abstract:

Abstract

Using newly released detailed data on all prisoners who entered the Arizona state prison from January 1985 through June 2017, we are able to separate non-U.S. citizens by whether they are illegal or legal residents. Unlike other studies, these data do not rely on self-reporting of criminal backgrounds. Undocumented immigrants are at least 142% more likely to be convicted of a crime than other Arizonans. They also tend to commit more serious crimes and serve 10.5% longer sentences, more likely to be classified as dangerous, and 45% more likely to be gang members than U.S. citizens. Yet, there are several reasons that these numbers are likely to underestimate the share of crime committed by undocumented immigrants. There are dramatic differences between in the criminal histories of convicts who are U.S. citizens and undocumented immigrants.

Young convicts are especially likely to be undocumented immigrants. While undocumented immigrants from 15 to 35 years of age make up slightly over two percent of the Arizona population, they make up about eight percent of the prison population. Even after adjusting for the fact that young people commit crime at higher rates, young undocumented immigrants commit crime at twice the rate of young U.S. citizens. These undocumented immigrants also tend to commit more serious crimes.

If undocumented immigrants committed crime nationally as they do in Arizona, in 2016 they would have been responsible for over 1,000 more murders, 5,200 rapes, 8,900 robberies, 25,300 aggravated assaults, and 26,900 burglaries.
