The video looks like it came down like a missile.

fox29.com has the story.

Viewer-provided Ring Doorbell video shared with FOX 29 shows what appears to be a plane in the distance falling out of the sky, followed by a large explosion with huge plumes of smoke.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley is at the scene and reports stepping over debris and observing several active fires within minutes of the crash.

God bless America.

Listening to this on the scanner as well... not only a multiple structure fire event but PD is having a hell of a time getting the scene under control given how wide spread it appears to be.

Somebody on Fox said mid air collision but that is speculation. Might explain scattered debris.

Call me crazy, but from the fox29 link...that's no "small plane".

I am really hoping that is not a midair collision, once in 16 years but twice in a week, that makes the hair on my neck go up.

Good coverage on Broadcastify

Agreed. I don't consider a Lear 55 (if that is true) a "small" plane.

I believe in this situation, they use the term 'small plane' to clarify that it was not something the size of an airliner.

A regional jetliner like the CRJ that crashed in DC two days ago is a LOT bigger than a Lear 55.

737s and 757s are huge compared to the Lear 55, and that's not even including the heavies like the 767 and 787 airliners.

The video I saw showed a very sharp angle coming down. I’ve personally never seen a crash like that.

The local news coverage here in Philadelphia is reporting that there are multiple casualties on the ground. An eyewitness to the crash who lives close to the crash site was interviewed by the local ABC affiliate. He says he saw multiple bodies on the ground. Several houses are on fire and there are numerous cars burning.

The network news made a good point that the destination for the flight is over 1,000 miles away. And the jet crashed just after takeoff. So the jet would have had a full load of fuel. That accounts for the reason why the fire is still burning. Tough to get a fire like that under control quickly.

They are showing quite a few different doorbell and dashcam videos. It seemed to come down while on fire, and it seems as though it suffered some kind of catastrophic structural failure. This doesn't seem to be some simple loss of power with the crew trying to glide back to the airport scenario.

The plane was only in the air less than a minute before it crashed.

Of course, that's my uninformed opinion based on the limited data available.

Heard the aircraft had just taken off thirty seconds prior to crash, on one of the Fox 29 screens. Echoing Fed161, it crashed on/near a very busy roadway in rush hour, and at least one structure fire was involved. Four crew and a pediatric patient with an escort on-board the craft according to the medevac's company.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

Well of course. A small passenger jet though would be more accurate, or at least less misleading.

Sounds like it was under full power based on that last video.
