SGAmmo had been out of PPU M193 the last 2 or more weeks.
Tuesday, a member alerts me to the fact they have it back in stock. I order mine on Thursday.
I went over to SGAmmo tonight... all gone.

The secret is out... people like the PPU M193.

This time I picked it up in person at the distribution center, so I could sneak it home and into the back of the garage. When I first requested the package, the clerk asked "what am I looking for back there...a case of wine?" I said no--a smaller box, and a lot heavier. He had a funny look when he lugged out the box. "Ammunition eh?" I said yep, a few weeks worth. Another funny look.

I am now going cold turkey for a good while. Hope I don't get the DTs. Any good therapist would advise a gradual taper to prevent withdrawals, but I will just tough it out.

The 200rds of IMI 77gr OTM arrived this afternoon.

The 20rd boxes with plastic inserts are huge.
To save space, I ditched the innards and put 40rds per box. The total number of boxes went from 10 to 5.

Tomorrow, the case of Prvi Partizan M193 arrives.

SGAmmo has Prvi Partizan M193 is sealed battle packs.

Aren't sealed battle packs supposed to have some kind of shorter shelf life? Somebody (on the internet, of course) talked me into un-battle packing some West German surplus and popping it into an ammo box with dessicant.

I always thought it was a good thing to have them sealed.
Perhaps there is something we do not know?

About the only negative to battlepacks is that if the rounds are boxed in acid cardboard. Such can actually eat at the brass weakening cases.
