You guys are lucky to have eachother. I started a thread a whole back about TRUE friends, and how few and far between they seem to be. You guys have a friendship in the truest sense of the word it sounds like. I'm not the praying type, but your family and his family are in my thoughts.

That's exactly what I was going to say.

You and he are both in my thoughts and prayers today - good reminder of all that I have to be thankful for.

Sorry to hear of Kadin's troubles.

And sorry to hear of yours, too Rainman.

I'll be thinking of both of you.

What you are doing for him is immeasurable, having a friend there I'm sure means the world to him. Bless you.

Did he get to see Metallica?

We got a Suite in the American Airlines Center.
We rented a wheelchair friendly van.
He did get to see them, we left only a little early as it wore him out.

But it was a memory to last a lifetime to see him grinning ear to ear.

I appreciate the sentiment, but he isn't really a card guy.
And at this point, he can't hardly read his Kindle.

We just lost a long time time friend to brain cancer. It is awful, but you do laugh and remember life, which is all you can do. You made each other richer and that is special. Best wishes and Godspeed in what time is left.
