If I had been an adult, I would have been happy with the Long Range... As I am actually a teenage boy, with middle aged knees, I bought the Performance...

The Model 3 Long Range is 4.2s 0-60. To keep things in perspective, the E36 BMW M3 was 0-60 in like 5.2s a generation ago and everybody was in awe.

I've driven the Model Y Performance and the same friend's previous Model S P100D with Ludicrous Mode. Yeah...nothing else out there like it, save maybe a hypercar costing millions

I'll also say they are certainly holding their value. The used models x1 x2 years old. Still cost the same as a new model. It's pure insanity. Used Model 3

Took delivery of my Dual Motor Model 3 today. Dang this thing is fast.

I was a bit concerned about the one petal driving with the brake regen & getting used to it. But after about 10 minutes in the car it's a non issue. Super comfortable to drive!!

If on the fence I say pull the trigger!!

Congrats! We were on the fence many times and took the plunge in March of 2019, mainly because we had a third vehicle to use (a Highlander Hybrid) in case we planned a road trip.

I think most people get over the range anxiety quickly as it's mostly a non-issue except at peak load times like during the holidays when Superchargers are busy.

0-60 is not the same as 60-120+

Tesla might get me off the line (manual shift limits 0-60 to 3.2s), but you’re never going to take me at speed.

Congratulations on your new coal-fired car!

A friend just came by with his new Plaid. Good luck with that.

I doubt it… Both issues.

Plaid isn’t going to beat my car. Not on the ring, not on the highway. Plus how many laps can you do on the ring with that thing? One?

100% nuclear? You do know that energy/electricity is fungible… There’s no way you can guarantee that you’re 100% nuclear unless you literally have a personal reactor in your backyard.

At least I can make a case for being 100% solar, but no need ... However I do generate all my own electricity needs.

Ha ha ha lol

Congratulations on your new Tesla.

As a slight drift. A friend of my Wife's just had her Tesla keyed. Little did the offending party know than they were recorded. Recorded not is some low def, hard to see shitty video. But in pretty high definition.

I am in awe of the Teslas and Rivians.

The speed is something we could have only dreamed about unless you owned a super car.

That’s pretty much what a Hellcat Challenger owner thought also… initially. Until I switched to sport mode and stomped his ass in a ghetto back road 1/3 mile drag by a few car lengths. It sure would have been fun to have a performance model that day instead of my boring dual motor Long range with a programming upgrade Big Grin. They just let me pass through with no challenges now

Yeah, I've driven a Hellcat and would love one or a TRX to be honest. I'm holding out for that tri-motor CyberTruck because I'm like that :-D

No more Tri motor evidently

Configs will be dual or quad

I have a preorder in for a Tri but will go for the quad…. Depending on final price. At this rate we may see them in 3 yrs

OP - Have you tried out the farting seat function yet?

BTW, they have failed to flood the streets here in UK - with a BASE price just shy of $60000, you can see why...

I have a pre-order on a Tri-motor as well. Given the Rivian and new H2's abilities, I guess it makes sense they're moving to quad.

5 miles a day or a trip? Asking, because as the family chauffeur, I drive 56 miles on a normal day. I think I could charge that over night with just a 30amp 240v outlet.

Keep us posted how it works for you.

We're seriously considering a Tesla. Do I understand correctly that everybody gets a $7500 incentive except Tesla and Chevrolet(which I wouldn't buy anyway)?
