The arsenal tax was actually an urban legend in the in the late 90's or early 2000's "If Gun Control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome" - Cam Edwards

You mean like you are not allowed to leave your house under penalty? Unless of course you are in an essential business like oh I don't know maybe "the media" You mean like government decides what business are allowed to be open? How many people you are allowed to talk to? Maybe like when your POS governor actually comes out and says "We're going to tighten the screws further". Things like that?

My step-daughter lives in Indiana and some of her co-workers started the same tin hat rumor there too. No child, calling out the NG to help deliver food is NOT Martial Law.

Say what again. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

It's still not martial law

Of course not. Martial law is when the military takes over making and enforcing the law, not because some civilian politician does those things, and regardless of how much we may disagree with the law—as civilian politicians have done since the founding of this nation. To repeat: If we are going to get spun up about something, we should first understand what it is we are getting spun up about. It helps us sleep better at night. ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. Together we have resisted the trap of appeasement, cynicism, and isolation that gives temptation to tyrants.” — George H. W. Bush

Rule of thumb. If the courts are no more and the military have set up Tribunals, that’s martial law. The governors can declare martial law. It’s happened maybe 9 times since WWII. Most were in the South and during the Civil Rights Movement. Hawaii is the only place where the a President declared martial law and it remained for any length of time. It was declared following the attack on Pearl Harbor and continued to the end of 1943. When I was assigned to Korea in 1972, I woke up to find a tank parked in the intersection. The President had decided to get re-elected and needed to change the Constitution to allow him a fourth term. As we already had a curfew midnight to 4 AM, as long as we stayed close to post we were fine. Still, traveling around the city with armor sporting .50 caliber was “interesting.” It is known that Russia and other nations are hyping the martial law threat. Odds are this is a foretaste of the election.

It may not be technically martial law, but when people are forbidden from going about their business under penalty of law, it is functionally martial law, is it not? This reminds me of the "LEOs are still civilians" BS. If they are, why is it unlawful to refuse their orders? I understand California has done this. I have a sister out there. I'm going to talk to her later and get the real scoop.

Or rather, "guilty until proven guilty". _______________________ “The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. Not really sure Mashall Law is that bad for places like NJ, CA, etc. Its like your mom sending you to bed with no dessert when you were already grounded without a cookie, so you were like "whatever mom".
