Titus I salute you. Given our recent experience with the sting of death, maybe I can pass along some perspective that has given us peace. Titus' suffering is over. I know he is in the company of those who love him. He'll be there to greet his parents and family when it is their turn to pass through that narrow gate. Then what a happy reunion it'll be.

That's tough. You expect old people to die but not the young.

RIP.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Oh David, I am so sorry. After we talked a couple of few weeks ago I knew things were not great. But did not think this would happen.

You, your wife, daughter and Titus are such warriors and fought tooth and nail for him.

I wished the outcome could of been different.

I will give you a call in a week or so. You guys are in my Prayer. RIP Little Warrior Titus.

There is also a special place in Heaven for those that dedicate their lives to caring for the sick children. God Bless everyone of them.

God bless his soul and your family. I just had a baby boy 9/15 and I will count my blessings and hold him even tighter tonight even when he is fussy. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

My sincere condolences. No family should have to bury any of their children.

May God grant you and yours a peace that passes all understanding during this time. My condolences on Titus passing.

As for a personal story: our kids here are now all adults and we have three grandchildren. The oldest grandchild, a girl of 7 now, and I were walking together when she noticed my shoes. I’d been talking about them with her parents and she’d overheard that they have an usual brand-name.

“Pops?” she asked, “What are your fancy shoes called again?”

“They’re not really that special, but I like them a lot,” I said. “They’re called ‘Woobies.’”

“‘Woobies?’” she said. There was a pause as I nodded, and then she said, “That rhymes with ‘boobies.’”

This is so heartbreaking. My sincerest condolences to you and all your family.

So sorry for your loss. Extremely heartbreaking to hear.

The potty story reminds me of my old neighbors little boy. We were all standing around talking outside. He was probably 2 or 3. Just drop trow in the middle of us and went pee. It was hilarious but we had to cheer for him because it wasn’t in his clothes - potty training and all.

Oh no! A punch in the gut this morning. He was such a warrior. His fight and the good attitude you conveyed made me feel stronger. I too will grasp at para’s eloquent words and know that Titus is pain free and waiting to see his family. Peace

I am very sorry to hear of this. Peace to you and your family.

My granddaughter is almost two. She doesn't understand the phone, at least not very clearly, but when my son called the other day, Hazel was with him and he told her to say hi to me. I heard her voice say, "Hi, Grandpa," and I said hello back, loud enough for her to hear. I knew she wouldn't answer, because that is all the phone conversation she can manage, but my son told me she was smiling.
