I'm watching the press conference on Fox with Trump, Dr. Oz, RFK Jr, and Albert Bourla, CEO of Pfizer.
They are announcing a deal that gives the US Most Favored Nation (MFN) status in pricing drugs. It means (for Pfizer to start, with more to follow) a major decrease in drug costs, that should result in overall lower health care costs. Marty Makary is saying that increased drug costs has been the major contributor in recent years to overall health care costs.
Another aspect will be anchoring drug production for both generic and proprietary drugs.
I'm glad I caught the whole thing, because all these health care leaders under Trump are very impressive; and of course they all--rightly--give Trump credit for pushing (harassing and haranguing in Oz's words) his people to make this happen.

We don't deserve him.
