Comey is a crooked cop and deserves to be in jail. I hope this lady can get that accomplished.

“The presiding judge in former FBI director James Comey’s bombshell case has been revealed as Judge Michael Nachmanoff, a former Biden appointee whose courtroom will now set the stage for one of the most politically charged trials in recent memory. …” DailyMail article: https://mol.im/a/15137329 Serious about crackers.

Will this be a jury trial or a bench trial or do we know that yet? ------------------ Eddie Our Founding Fathers were men who understood that the right thing is not necessarily the written thing. -kkina

^^^^^^^ I don’t know, but assume it’ll be trial by jury. I wonder how Biden appointee Judge Michael Nachmanoff happened to be selected. Serious about crackers.

I wish we lived in a world where the first half was the right answer, but we don’t. The DemonRATs and the deep state (but I repeat myself) have been getting away with so much for so long that at this point I think the only way prevent them from coming back and doing even more is to absolutely crush them, grind up what’s left, and incinerate whatever comes out of the grinder. (Metaphorically of course), but they should be completely destroyed or worse through the legal system. Their fate must be so harsh that anyone thinking of getting froggy in the future thinks about what happened to them and decides, “Oh HELL No! I am not risking that!” Edited to add missing closing parentheses. This message has been edited. Last edited by: slosig,

I believe it's a random lottery who draws the cases, but I could be wrong. Might just be a rotation. They really need to bring these charges outside of D.C. area or demand a change of venue.

I agree 100% that Comey needs to hang but I can't wrap my head around why the DOJ hasn't gone after the hundreds (potentially thousands) of Democrats who stole the 2020 election. Not one person was held accountable for the steal and the result will be a repeat or worse. Frankly, elections should be suspended until every single Democrat who participated is fully prosecuted. I don't think protecting the integrity of our elections is a crazy idea and I hope the DOJ does more about it.

One problem with trying to prosecute them is their crimes generally occur in dem strongholds like Atlanta, DC, Philadelphia, Madison, etc. Even though the juries in those areas would be convinced of guilt they would bring back a not-guilty verdict. I recall Hillary being tried in DC for instigating and funding the Russia collusion hoax against Trump. Even though the evidence was clear the verdict came back "not guilty". When one of the jurors was asked about the verdict afterwards she said something to the effect "yeah Hillary did it but so what they all do that". Not sure which trial you’re referring to. She has never been “tried” for anything, although I wish she had. Q

A civil trial, Trump suing her over what she did. No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Yeah, it’s a civil case. She wasn’t “tried”, a term that’s applied to criminal cases. Ianal, but that’s my rudimentary understanding. Q

So now the "government shutdown" is looming, Trump has rejected democrats demands to reinstate a lot of the cuts that have already been made. Trump said pound sand and now the democrats are saying "the shutdown will be Trump's fault". But Trump will win this game of chicken because a shutdown will allow him to lay off a ton of non-essential federal workers many of which will then be made permanent. The democrats will cave to save their do-nothing swamp workers.

After eight years of Obama and four years of mush brains, the job reports they issued were primarily hires in DC. Trump could easily knock off 50% and damn near every agency to recover the wasteful spending of doing nothings. _________________________

Yes I'm looking forward to this! I recall when one of the democrats (Clinton maybe) was in office he shut down agencies that would most affect the populace like National Parks and federal Monuments in summer, and I forget the others. I imagine Trump has his list already made and can't wait to see what he shuts down! No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

I remember those days too, ridewv. It seems as though many have chosen to forget those events, and the shutdowns (especially in 2013) under Obama. Federal rank and file workers are merely pawns in the game of life (for politicians). Back when I signed up for USDA, I was told that my job was secure unless the President and Congress voted to end it. I served at their discretion, and that of the American people. Al Gore campaigned on the promise of cutting the workforce a 1/3 more than had been, in 2000. Again, that too was forgotten.

Congress has continually abdicated their responsibility on many issues. They have not produced a budget in years. They avoid any real legislation to resolve real issues, and instead let regulatory agencies and courts do when Congress should be doing. They are a bunch of self serving grifters enriching themselves at the expense of the country and prioritizing re-election above everything else.

An older (Nov-2017) but informative article from The Conservative Treehouse on the machinations of "congress". . . "Legislation and Lobbyists…" https://theconservativetreehou...ation-and-lobbyists/ Lots of good detail and insight in the article, but here's the crux - Recap: Corporations (special interest group) write the legislation. Lobbyists take the law and go find politician(s) to support it. Politicians get support from their peers using tenure and status etc. Eventually, if things go according to norm, the legislation gets a vote. Within every step of the process there are expense account lunches, dinners, trips, venue tickets and a host of other customary financial way-points to generate/leverage a successful outcome. The amount of money spent is proportional to the benefit derived from the outcome. The important part to remember is that the origination of the entire system is EXTERNAL to congress. Congress does not write laws or legislation, special interest groups do. Lobbyists are paid, some very well paid, to get politicians to go along with the need of the legislative group. When you are voting for a Congressional Rep or a U.S. Senator you are not voting for a person who will write laws. Your rep only votes on legislation to approve or disapprove of constructs that are written by outside groups and sold to them through lobbyists who work for those outside groups. While all of this is happening the same outside groups who write the laws are providing money for the campaigns of the politicians they need to pass them. This construct sets up the quid-pro-quo of influence, although much of it is fraught with plausible deniability. This is the way legislation is created. If your frame of reference is not established in this basic understanding you can often fall into the trap of viewing a politician, or political vote, through a false prism. The modern origin of all legislative constructs is not within congress. “we’ll have to pass the bill to, well, find out what is in the bill” etc. ~ Nancy Pelosi 2009 “We rely upon the stupidity of the American voter” ~ Johnathan Gruber 2011, 2012 __________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy."

That was Obama, he aimed to hurt the American people. Even roads adjacent to but not part of National Parks were shut down, so you could not view the scenery. "While not every Democrat is a horse thief, every horse thief is a Democrat." HORACE GREELEY
