The lying, thieving sons o' bitches at WalMart. USA manufactured items, which use materials sourced 100% in the USA, and WalMart raised the price of these products, saying it was because of tariffs. Mad

You can bet that this is very far from the only example of their thieving behavior.

There was a claim on the radio yesterday that “75% of all goods sold at Walmart are US-made.” I’m having a hard time believing that.

God bless America.

I think that's a parody account since Callahan Auto from Sandusky, Ohio is a major part of the comedy Tommy Boy.

Brian Dennehy, whose picture is featured, played the father in the movie.

If it's on radio, it must be true. You know.

Walmart is pulling a fast one for sure after record high profit reports.
We buy a lot of orange lifesaver mints. I really never keep up with prices except for this one item mainly because i had looked at Amazon pricing which has always been crazy high.
The price for the large bag has always been just under $4 at $3.98. Been that price for many years now with no increases.
Stocked up on them last week and the price went from $3.98 to $4.74. Thats a .76 cent jump in price.
If walmart is bumping up prices on everything that is huge and will cost them a lot IMO.
I will be avoiding WM now.

Abe Lincoln was the reporter. Sorry I couldn’t provide a link, man. Wink

ETA:
There is, however, a claim on Walmart’s corporate site that "More than two-thirds of Walmart U.S. total product spend in FY2024 was on items made, grown, or assembled in the United States."

God bless America.

When large corporations enter a market with aggressive strategies, the initial promise of convenience and lower prices can quickly turn sour. They often undercut local businesses, the beloved "Mom and Pops," forcing them to close their doors due to an inability to compete with the sheer scale and resources of the corporate giant. This aggressive tactic, while initially benefiting consumers momentarily, ultimately leads to a homogenized landscape where the corporation stands as the sole provider. The unique character and personalized service offered by the small businesses are erased, leaving the community dependent on a single entity with the power to dictate prices and control the market. This lack of competition stifles innovation and diminishes consumer choice, painting a grim picture of a marketplace dominated by a single, monolithic force. But Amazon is lurking for that business as well.

What EXACTLY was that political message you thought was being portrayed???
