I dont believe for one second that Comey meant that as a literal death threat. He intended it as a display of his continued anamous toward Trump himself. What Comey has done is almost as bad …if not worse… than J Edgar Hoover himself. He has eroded what little public confidence and trust was left of the FBI. I remember during those hearings regarding Hillary, and his vigorous defense of “the hard working men and women of the FBI”. Bullshit, any good work they do has been outweighed by its complete and total corruption. Any good deed done by the FBI will be forever overshadowed by its political bias that Comey had a direct hand in creating. The right of the people to alter or abolish. The FBI I fear is beyond alteration. Its misdeeds are beyond its usefullness. I dont think Kash Patel can remove the tumors placed there by people like Comey. Afaik, 86 means to dispose of, throw in the trash, etc. Which could have an implication of violence. When referring to a public person, one needs to be extra careful not to use terms that could be interpreted as endorsing violence. That's just basic logic. Imo, Comey was winking at the radical left, saying the unsayable while thinking he could feign surprise at the obvious implication of 86. | |||

I worked in kitchens for a long time. Back-of-house parlance, it means "cut it from the menu" or yes, "throw it in the trash." Tickets that print up for cooks where you specify "no onions" generally will have "86 onions" on it, which has comedy implications for newer cooks who haven't learned the lingo yet. We also used to jokingly refer to someone whose shift got phased (i.e. doing their side work so they can be told to go home whenever management deems it necessary). It's the same crap as them pulling out Luigi imagery, but because it's slightly less specific, they get to dance around it with the nuances.
