I do my best to interpret what posters say here if I find their post unclear, especially if I have come to know them by their posts. If I had understood that Patriot was talking about welfare queens, I wouldn't have responded the way I did.

What you are saying makes sense, but when he referred to tax breaks, I was assuming actual tax breaks, as in dependent child tax deductions. I did not interpret his words to mean government handouts for the byproducts of irresponsible people having casual sex.

I have a very good, very reasonable, conservative friend of many years that absolutely cannot stand the fact that the government gives tax deductions for having children. He believes in a straight tax, just as Chellim echoed, so Patriot would not surprise me if that is what he meant. And the libertarian side of me respects that viewpoint. If that is what he meant, it was the way it was voiced that was the issue.

Even so, we all have bad moments. We feel frustrated and just cut loose, so to speak. I am as guilty as anyone.

I’m going to make one last comment on this and then it’s over as far as I’m concerned. My aggravation came from a general description of families as breeders and the vile characterization of childbirth. That broad characterization includes my family. So, I may have let my inner well suppressed drama queen out for a second. Fine. I’ve registered my objection and in my way, defended my wife and kids. Fair enough.

Poor choice of words, but I am sure he was referring to the welfare queens that have made an industry of producing children out of wedlock and using them as an income source. Even if they do not pay into the tax system, many of them can get these federal (and some state) tax monies if they file, and believe me they do file as that is part of the welfare grift.

And, many of those children will do nothing productive with their lives except learn the same game or become menaces to society.

Yes, big "child tax credits" which are about to increase, EBT, medicaid, Peachcare in GA, disability fraud and getting their children labeled with a mental disability to collect SSI

The small car lots try to get their inventory up around tax time for these instantly "rich" ladies

A welfare mom with four kids gets currently $8000, that's about to go up to $10000. Plus any taxes they did pay, they get back

A splendid combination!

It would be good to review the 1956 documentary film "Forbidden Planet."

American who threatened to assassinate Trump arrested at JFK Airport over 'plan to bomb US embassy in Israel'

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ne...-embassy-israel.html

An American man who made threats to 'assassinate Donald Trump' was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport for allegedly plotting to bomb the US embassy in Israel.

Joseph Neumayer, a 28-year-old dual United States and German citizen, was charged with attempting to destroy, by means of fire or explosive, the Branch Office of the United States Embassy located in Tel Aviv, according to the Justice Department.

He arrived in Israel in April and was detained after spitting on a security guard outside the embassy on May 19.

The Justice Department said Neumeyer broke free from the guard, but left behind his dark-colored backpack.

Investigators found three Molotov cocktails inside his bag then tracked him down to his hotel and arrested him.

'A tourist was arrested in Tel Aviv after allegedly spitting at a guard at the US Embassy branch office and is suspected of leaving behind a bag with flammable materials while attempting to flee,' Israel police said at the time of the arrest.

'Police and municipal personnel quickly located and arrested the suspect. Police bomb squad arrived to clear the bag and found potential Molotov cocktail components.'

According to court documents, Neumeyer posted on social media earlier that day, 'Join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America, death to Americans, and f**k the west.'

In other posts he allegedly wrote: 'We are killing Trump and Musk now', 'Death to Trump. Death to America,' and 'The former President has several hours to resign or certain death'.

Other social media post allegedly showed that he had also threatened to assassinate Donald Trump.

Israeli officials deported Neumeyer back to the United States, and he was arrested on arrival at the New York airport on Sunday.

'This defendant is charged with planning a devastating attack targeting our embassy in Israel, threatening death to Americans, and President Trump's life,' said Attorney General Pamela Bondi.

'The Department will not tolerate such violence and will prosecute this defendant to the fullest extent of the law.'

If convicted, Neumeyer faces a minimum of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years in prison.

'As alleged, Neumeyer, armed with potentially lethal devices, sought to cause chaos and destruction at the U.S.Embassy in Tel Aviv,' said U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella for the Eastern District of New York.

'His arrest and prosecution clearly show that my Office and the Department of Justice will not tolerate violence in our homeland or violence targeting U.S. interests abroad.'

'The defendant is charged with attempting to firebomb the U.S. Embassy and making threats to President Trump,' said FBI Director Kash Patel.

'This despicable and violent behavior will not be tolerated at home or abroad, and the FBI, working with our partners, will bring him to face justice for his dangerous actions.'

Neumeyer's arrest comes just days after a gunman shot dead a young Israeli couple in Washington DC.

Elias Rodriguez, 31, shouted 'Free Palestine' after he killed the couple as they left an event at the Capital Jewish Museum on Wednesday evening.

Rodriguez allegedly published a manifesto which claimed: 'Public opinion has shifted against the genocidal apartheid state, and the American government has simply shrugged, they'll do without public opinion then, criminalize it where they can, suffocate it with bland reassurances that they're doing all they can to restrain Israel where it cannot criminalize protest outright.'

Sad situation. The diagnosis video is posted in the Covid thread.
I’m very glad Trump called him.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Trump Admin Sends Team to Investigate Free Speech Violations in Britain

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/...-in-britain-n2657610

The Trump administration is expanding its defense of free speech globally, raising concerns about growing censorship in allied nations, such as the United Kingdom. According to reports, the administration deployed a group to meet with victims of Britain’s speech restrictions.

Recently, the Trump administration dispatched a team of five State Department diplomats to engage with pro-life activists in the UK who were arrested for quietly praying outside abortion clinics. The Trump White House has openly criticized the United Kingdom for its strict speech regulations. This issue is reportedly becoming a key topic in trade talks between the U.S. and the UK. Britain has also faced backlash for proposing fines against American social media companies that don’t adequately monitor content on their platforms.

In addition, in March, diplomats from the US Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) visited London to emphasize the significance of protecting freedom of expression both in the UK and throughout Europe. Senior advisor in the state department, Samuel Samson, met with officials from the Foreign Office and challenged Ofcom regarding the Online Safety Act.

This follows a diplomatic clash in March when Vice President J.D. Vance challenged British Prime Minister Keir Starmer over the UK’s increasing restrictions on free speech. The Trump administration has warned that if these actions persist, particularly when they impact Americans or American businesses overseas, they are ready to take action.

Vance warned that free speech is under threat in the U.K. and across Europe, specifically pointing to the erosion of conscience and religious rights in Britain. He expressed concern that religious Britons are increasingly being targeted as fundamental liberties decline.

n February, during a meeting with Trump at the White House, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer pushed back on claims that his country is restricting free speech. He stated that free speech has been a longstanding principle in the United Kingdom and expressed confidence that it will remain a vital part of the country's future.

However, a recent report from The Times of London reveals that British police are making over 30 arrests each day for allegedly offensive remarks made online or through other channels, adding up to roughly 12,000 arrests annually.

“US-UK relations share a mutual respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. However, as Vice President Vance has said, we are concerned about freedom of expression in the UK," a state department spokesman said. “It is important that the UK respects and protects freedom of expression.”
