why do you think MSN showed just that bit and in the way they did it, I'd trust nothing that any of the mainstream media puts out to be honest or done in a way that would not be positive regarding Trump.

Just this morning I passed a group of leftwing dummies on a highway overpass with a large banner that read "NO TROOPS IN OUR CITIES!!!"

Gave them the double middle finger as I went past Big Grin

Saw this today:

Trump’s DC take-over wins praise from residents, biz owners as crime plummets: ‘We feel much more safe’

Imagine protesting against lower crime and more safe streets!

<<snip>>

And here is a good reason why troops ARE needed in some of these Dim run cities... from Charlotte, NC: A 23-year old Ukrainian war refugee just got here to start a new life free from the violence, and was stabbed to death on the public train by a "career criminal" who kept getting released after committing his crimes. Also appears he needs to be in a mental facility based on what the cops reported earlier.

This one literally makes my blood boil... she was several years younger than my daughter!!! Mad Mad Mad

Just sitting here thinking about it, I agree. Leave the name as it is. Trump has long touted himself as a peace keeper, and we have seen that he means just that.

How about just Department of the Military.

To weigh in on this topic, I also agree that the name should be left alone. "Department of War" gives me the mental picture that we would be the aggressors and starting war when we should be keeping the peace. I have no problem with the USA being "alpha" when needed, but don't go looking for trouble... and Department of War just sounds like you're looking for trouble! Just my personal opinion of course.

Concerning the Dept. of War, I'll provide a different perspective. Names matter, and for such a large organization, it most definitely matters.

Using Dept. of War changes what that department's core function should be, what projects it spends tax payer money, the structure of the personnel and their purpose.

It also changes the attitude of it's citizens in that, it's our sons and daughters being sent off to fight, die and come back often times broken.

It changes the whole dynamic and thought process. No more sending bodies and treasure for insignificant peace keeping missions, regional conflicts that we have zero to gain.

No spending money on anything that is not directly related to creating the most efficient war machine in history with the ROE doctrine to back it up. It changes policies, legislation and how procurement and contracting is done. It's may just be the biggest game changer in this administration.

I'll join your posse. I frequently, actually very frequently, hear the term 'We need boots on the ground' for one lame reason or another.

It seems to be hard for people that haven't been on a two-way shooting range to realize that what they advocate is a life or death situation for a young man with parents, a kid sister, a wife, maybe, who joined up to defend his nation and a way of life and instead gets sent to some shithole that most of us couldn't find on a map of shitholes.

Just one example because the thought of this pisses me off- the soldiers we lost on the ill conceived, worse deployed floating pier in Gaza.
Now multiply by every intramural pissing contest that we've rolled into in the last half century big and not so big.

Put your boots on the ground or shut up. A D.C. sign that says 'This way to 'War Department' gives an unequivocal message. It better be worthwhile.

Yes, and after 4 days the mayor issues a statement - the first sentence sending condolences to the victim and family, and the next 4 pages apologizing for the mentally ill bastard and society that failed him.

Huff Post is your source??? It's 2025, can we stop quoting and taking as fact from the media that hates us? They are not journalists, they are nothing more than option pieces.

We do not hate the MSM enough.

600,000 Chinese student visas? I’m not going to even try to second guess Trump. God knows what scheme he has up his sleeve.

I do wonder, though, how many of those students will be gender/women etc studies majors.

600,000 Chinese students? There shouldn’t be even 6 of them. I don’t understand this at all. The Chinese send these students here for specific reasons, and it’s not because they’re great, hard working people. These students will take more than an education back to China.

Agreed! Reading that thoroughly pissed me off! I'm not sure what Trump is thinking, and I normally trust him to make good decisions overall, but this one just strikes me as being really bad. There has already been ample proof of Chinese students coming here and turning out to be nothing more than spies for the CCCP. Piss on that!!!

More and more, the democratic party to me is less of a political party with an ideology but just a bunch of corrupt, self-serving criminals with a moronic cult like public following. Someday in the future, some academic will look back on these times and have a great case study of how not to evolve civilization.
