Some excellent news on the ATF. Robert Leider, a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, has been appointed by AG Pam Bondi as Assistant Director for the ATF AND Chief Counsel.

"The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) unveiled its new Chief Legal Counsel.

Robert Leider will take over duties as the top lawyer of the ATF. The appointment is a sharp change of course from former Chief Counsel Pamela Hicks. Ms. Hicks’s views on guns were in line with groups like Everytown and Brady. Mr. Leider takes a more liberty-based approach to guns. The appointment of Leider to the position saw an outpouring of joy from gun rights activists.
Mr. Leider was an assistant professor at George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law School, where he taught a class on the Second Amendment. Before becoming a professor, he worked for powerhouse law firm Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, LLP. He also clerked for Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas. Mr. Leider lists his interests as the right of self-defense and the Second Amendment.

Mr. Leider has written extensively about gun rights with articles tackling such cases as Harrel v. Raoul. Raoul challenges the Illinois “assault weapon” ban. Mr. Leider believes that the law is unconstitutional and should be struck down. He claims that semi-automatic firearms are protected arms. Mr. Leider also highlights that the Second Amendment is not just about an individual right to keep and bear arms for self-defense. He argues that all arms useful for military service should be protected arms..."

The Judiciary depends on the Executive branch for enforcement of rulings.

This pissing contest from lowere level judges needs to be stopped ASAP. The Supreme Court needs to put it to rest immediately.

When those 51 people, who I’m sure you know all too well, said that (the laptop) was Russian disinformation. Well, it turned out that was true, and shame on you for the last decade trying to inject the idea that smearing President Trump as a Russian agent or a Russian asset is going to tank the MAGA movement. It’s about putting America first!

No, the President of the United States cannot unilaterally eliminate the Department of Education without Congressional approval.
However, this moves the ball in that direction and the House of Reps will at least consider a bill to eliminate it.

President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order on March 20 that will facilitate the dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education, taking a step toward fulfilling a campaign pledge.

The order, which has been under preparation for weeks, will be signed at a White House event with several Republican governors and state education commissioners in attendance, as confirmed by the White House. The plan was first reported by USA Today.

Trump will direct his recently confirmed Education Secretary Linda McMahon to take all required steps to prepare for the closure of the Education Department and transfer its authority to the states, according to a White House fact sheet obtained by NTD TV, sister media of The Epoch Times.

According to the fact sheet, the order also aims to ensure that, throughout the process, there is no disruption in the delivery of services, programs, and benefits that Americans rely on.

The order also instructs that any programs or activities receiving remaining Department of Education funds will not promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) or gender ideology.

The Department of Education did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

McMahon, confirmed by the Senate on March 3, said in her first message to employees—titled “Our Department’s Final Mission”—that her “vision is aligned with the president’s: to send education back to the states.”

She added, “Our job is to respect the will of the American people and the President they elected, who has tasked us with accomplishing the elimination of bureaucratic bloat here at the Department of Education—a momentous final mission—quickly and responsibly.”

The Department of Education employed about 4,200 workers before its recent termination of around 1,300, and the buyout of another 600.

The agency’s current form stems from a 1979 law that made it independent by splitting it from the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare.

The federal government’s role in education, according to the White House, has failed students, parents, and teachers.

National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) scores demonstrate that student achievement has not improved, despite more than $3 trillion invested since the Department of Education’s inception in 1979, according to the fact sheet.

Trump promised on the campaign trail to abolish the Department of Education, alleging it is responsible for indoctrinating America’s youth.

I think you mean RobertsCare. It stopped being Obamacare after Roberts twisted things around a second time to allow it to stand. That man deserves at least as much credit for that disgrace of a law as Obama does.

Roberts is perhaps the biggest disappointment in the history of the court. His big secret isn't that he's being blackmailed, it's that he loves the swamp more than he loves the country. Maybe he's convinced himself that DC is the country. Roberts is great personal friends with Boasberg.

I maybe off on judicial procedures, but it’s been my understanding per Article 3, Section 2 that Congress can specifically identify which cases can proceed for judicial actions by the lesser courts (District and Appeals), but the SCOTUS shall have original or appellate jurisdiction in all cases.

In other words, Congress can limit what types of cases can go before the District Courts, and which ones to the Appeals Courts. Immigration Court is an administrative court for immigration and removal actions, with District Courts not in the mix.

They were discussing the firebombing of Tesla dealerships, and I thought I heard the phrase
