Nice Job Muddflap!
No, I could never remove the slime from the Slug that lived there! I think they will sell for a lot less than these inflated prices. The Vulture Hedgefund people will make sure of that.

The reality is swamp people commute as far as Petersburg and beyond, share an apt with 5 people, and commute home for the weekend. I am sure their jobs are all on thin ice.

It is interesting, looking at Realtor.com, Zillow, Redfin, etc. Comparatively, places like San Francisco, Oakland, Seattle, etc. each have approx. 1000 houses for sale, but small potatoes compared to the DC area, which has more than five thousand listings, and many recent price drops. And a LOT of coming soon properties. And I'm sure a lot of desperate sellers needing to dump out fast. A big buyers market.

So what is President Trump trying to accomplish with his proposed tariffs and how will they benefit the US?

Most likely to either gain concessions from the other country and/or to spur manufacturing in the US. Trump seems to be the only, or one of the few, politicians that understands that we need to be less reliant on China and other third world countries producing our medicine and products we use and that we ought to be producing that domestically.

It gets a discussion going, and at the nation state level, if you're talking your negotiating.

Simple- the U.S. is a major proponent of free trade. Unfortunately the rest of the world aren't. To have free trade, our trade partners also have to act accordingly. For far too long, products come in and less of our products go out. Most countries around the world have tariffs against U.S. goods, but we don't have tariffs against their goods. So it isn't fair trade.

Many other countries are trying their best to rip us off like Mexico and China in any way they can. That bad behavior was being rewarded. Not anymore. Trump is using tariffs to force other countries to abide by the same trade rules they set on us. He's also using punitive tariffs to punish bad behavior, like lax border enforcement, drugs, etc.

Our economy can handle tariffs and theirs can’t. Especially in the long term. Mexico and Canada have already caved after realizing tariffs would ruin their economies. The Canadian economy is tied into the US, and it's fragile. For the U.S., possible short term pain for long term gain.

We are a half hour away from the deadline Trump gave Hamas for the release of all hostages. Yesterday released three more, but they are still holding dozens.

Let's see what happens.

Probably there will be action once the sun goes down. Similar to January 17, 1991.

^^^^ yes, that's probably right. They only ask you one question if you want to join Hamas.

"Are you totally brain dead?"

"I'll have mushroom pizza."

"Welcome to Hamas!"

Yes, thanks for posting that video.
oddball gave a good answer too.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
