When my father spoke on making a "small adjustment" he would say that he needed to just move it a "cat's hair". It wasn't until I got grown I realized he substituted "Cat" for another "C" word.

"Time for bed, Fred."

I tell my dog that at night. His name's not Fred and neither is mine, but I'll be damned if I didn't get it from my dad...

Living in the Midwest and farm country you would likely hear, “He’s worthless than tits on a boar hog“. Usually ment for a certain Public figure.

Yup, heard that a lot. When I moved to Maine, I heard the local version: Worthless as tits on a trout. I'm a sucker for alliteration...

A variation from my Dad was, "makes as much sense as tits on a goldfish."
