This meme reminds me of an old stray tom (we named Sylvester being black and white) that adopted us over 30 years ago...he made friends with our neighbors and would spend part of the day sitting on their porch swing...

When they came home from work...he would greet them and then come back home to lay around some more...they liked him and had no pets of their own...

One day after the usual meet-n-greet...instead of coming home...he slipped into their home...laying low (more like laying around unnoticed) until they went to bed...

About 1:00 in the morning Sylvester decided he needed to go out...

He proceeded to jump square on their bed and walked over them to get to their attention...

Panic with screaming ensued in the darkness...for some reason they both thought it was a possum that had been hanging around their back door at night...

We received a phone call about Sylvester...he was on his on his way home Razz...

The neighbors were good sports and Sylvester continued his regular meet and greet...but they always checked to make sure he came home and as far as I know...never went into their house again...

He was a pretty good old cat...he died in his sleep one afternoon laying in front of our floor heater vent in late winter 1993...

We were his for 10 years Smile

Here is one thing I hate about cats. I rarely let Rupert up in my lap (for reasons which will become obvious in a moment). But this morning, during a momentary lapse of reason, I let him plop down on me and commenced rubbing and scratching him. What does he do to thank me? Starts digging his claws into my arm and stomach!

"Thank you, Keeper of the Food and Cleaner of the Pan! In return for these minutes of pampering, I shall knead your body with my flesh-rending claws that you may never forget this pleasant time together."

Every cat harbors some small fragment of the soul of the Marquis de Sade.

He's just saying in his unique way that you're not a comfy person on which to lie.
