We have had a white Old English Bulldog since 2017. Her name is Helga. White coloration Bulldogs may have vision impairment, and hearing impairment, especially if they have one/both blue eyes.
Helga has one blue eye. We think of her as if she was a Downs Syndrome child.
She doesn't see very well, and certainly has selective hearing. She really doesn't do "Dog" things or act like most dogs.
However, she is a wonderful companion and we cherish her presence in our home.
Earlier this year, we wanted to get her a companion, and another Old English Bulldog was out of the question due to the size. Helga weighs just under 70 pounds.

We went back to the same breeder where Helga came from and they had just branched off into breeding Mini-Bulldogs as well as the Old English Bulldogs.
Mini-Bulldogs are 3/4 French Bulldog, and 1/4 Old English Bulldog.
The breeder had a litter arrive in October 2022, and we went down and picked one out.
This time, a male, and quite rambunctious.

We named him Hagar, and he is 100% dog! He has grown to be quite athletic and has a squeaky tennis ball fetish. He will carry one in his mouth, and will simultaneously bat two of them around in front while traveling like a soccer player. If you bounce one on the floor, he will leap up into the air and snatch it out of the air and manage to land gracefully.
For a Mini-Bulldog, graceful is a learned skill. He is very stocky in the head/neck/shoulders for a smaller dog. He's about 35 pounds.

The other day we noticed his collar had run out of adjustment so a trip to Tractor Supply was needed.
We got him a new collar, and adjusted it. I was shocked at the circumference of the new collar and laid Hagar's and Helga's collars on the counter.
You guessed it, both collars are the same size. Helga is twice Hagar's weight and body length.

His birthday is October 10th, and he will be one year old.
When we first brought Hagar home, and when Helga figured out he was staying, her feelings were incredibly bent out of shape. We had to feed them separately, and couldn't praise or pet him in her presence.
Now they are best buddies and Hagar has actually taught Helga to do some "dog" things. We are blessed to have both of them.
