The only brand that I buy in the grocery store, but I just found out that the brand is now owned by a Chinese company.

Same great hot dogs, no change in the ingredients or manufacturing process, but the profit now goes to China.

Not sure what to do. Mad

Ballpark chicken, pork, and beef. They plump when you cook 'em.

Never cared for the Hebrews (hot dogs Big Grin) or Nathan's. They just always seemed plain to me. The Ballpark's got some flavor.

Deutschmacher hot dogs are our favorite.
If they're available in your area I recommend them.

^^^^^ From AI: Nathan's Famous hot dogs are not directly owned by China, but they are produced under license by Smithfield Foods, which is owned by WH Group, a Chinese meat giant based in Hong Kong. WH Group acquired Smithfield in 2013 for $4.7 billion, making Nathan's Famous a brand with ties to China through its parent company.

Smithfield… grrr. Mad

Sellouts, in my opinion.

Not just hot dogs, right? Also pork ribs and chops.

I mostly mailorder hot dogs from a place in NY. Not cheap but the best I've found for grilling. They're the same as those sold by the Windmill a small chain in New Jersey. What I found interesting was a recent FB discussion on grilling them and the former owner's wife said to "slow turn for 45 minutes", not happening at my house.

My go to if I'm out of those are Nathan's, I think Restaurant Style, a good fit for the hoagie rolls we use. I don't like the China connection but I doubt it affects the quality.

Best I've ever had, worth the wait and shipping if you bundle in with some other stuff.
They used to sell a multipack, haven't seen that in a few years.

I like those as well, when available. Good taste and nice snap. But generally I now stick to sausages over hotdogs. Specifically, I like the Niman Ranch Fattire Bratwurst.
