Kentucky Legend

To the best of my knowledge, not Chinese. I can find nothing so indicated on the packaging or the website.

Can't beat the $1.50 hot dog at Costcos, used to be made by Hebrew National. Costco took over production in house and makes it's own, you can still get Hebrew National at Costco.

We get the Costco 3 pack, it's a lot of hot dogs and the grand kids love them

Next is the search for a good hot dog bun. The last package was Ball Park; we won't buy that brand again. I've heard that Martin's, top split, are good, I'll give them a try next time I buy hot dogs.

Lived in Chicago for many years. Born and bred in Brooklyn. Coney Island (Brooklyn) more better than Chicago for hot dogs.

Jordans All Natural Franks were a favorite of mine as a kid. We would visit my cousins in Maine and that was the only place to get them at the time. They were bright red and snappy!
I can get them in NH now but the family doesnt like them so its a treat for me to grab a package for myself! Smile

I love those things but man I'm burping garlic for hours afterwards for some reason with those, it's the only hotdog that does that.

Heid's of Liverpool NY https://heidsofliverpool.com/ is famous for their German style hotdogs and zesty Coneys aka snappies.

These are our favorites.

Hebrew National hotdogs…cooked in the air fryer…
Martins Potato Buns…
Dukes Horseradish Mustard…squeezed liberally…
Chopped Vidalia onions…
Publix coleslaw…
Several forkfuls of Vlasic bread and butter pickle chips on the side (or your favorite pickle)…
Or-Ida tater tots or onion rings…cooked in the air fryer…

All washed down with your favorite beverage (just not buttermilk Eek)

You can thank me later! Razz

Sahlens Hot Dogs made in Buffalo. It's almost religious for the wife so thankfully we can get them at Publix here.

Publix has buns in the bakery, they dont ALWAYS have them, but when they do, that's my go-to.

I like the thin Nathan's and need to find a suitable replacement now that I know this. The hunt is on.

I would ask if Nathan's had a choice in the matter. It looks like their parent company sold out.

If you object to sending money to China on principle, it doesn't matter whose decision it was. It would be helpful to have an easy way to find out what other companies that parent company owns, though.

Best hot dog I've had was at Wrigley Field, or maybe it was the Old Style talking! Never found out who made them.
This was twenty years ago.

Wow, I didn't know that. That's too bad. I love Nathan's dogs and remember going to a Nathan's restaurant as a kid. They had some pretty cool old school games that were more mechanical than electronic. Something that kids today will never be able to play or enjoy.
