lol. All true. I probably should have let him come on here and misrepresent the entire event because that could have been fun. He just came across so preachy though. I felt like I was in catholic school and the nun was slapping me with a yardstick and I’m not even Catholic. Maybe my meter is way off but my original question was about whether backing out of future discussions since he felt uncomfortable was a jerk move. I actually was completely polite throughout the entire affair. I was just slow in my responses which the guy clearly was bothered by and said so. So I made it easy, “ok, don’t worry about it” and we were done. 100% polite. Until he started name calling me and then I was a dick but as I stated, I’m not asking opinions about that conversation after the deal was off. I wasn’t rude or non cordial throughout the actual deal discussion. smultz never read that though. I get it. I have a reputation for saying things I shouldn’t. That’s why I didn’t respond to Hildur calling me a liar, twice in this thread. smultz’s lecture on values though was too much for my little heart to bear though. Lol

He was impatient. I bet if you sent pictures, he would have just tried to beat you down on your price. I think you just saved yourself time & aggravation. As for being childish, well… he started it. Regarding your tif with smschultz, again you overreacted. a bit too sensitively, if you ask me, and also seem to have to get the last word. You asked for opinions, now man up. Whether you think some interpreted you original post or not, just let it go.

There is no "manning up" here. I took everyone's comments and had no issue. Even Hildur straight up calling me a liar evoked no response. If someone (smultz) straight up doesn't read my post and then restates it completely non factually, fuck that. I'm not going to let someone make up shit out of thin air and accuse me of something when all they had to do was read my post. It was all there, warts and all. If you think letting someone lie about events is "manning up" I don't even know where to begin to tell you how screwed up that is. As for the last word, so what? He never corrected his accusation from his first post. Yea, I am going to respond. I have taken the good and the bad on this thread. What I didn't take is some guy misrepresenting the facts and never correcting his original misstatements even though he claimed he did. I can live with my behavior in that regard quite easily. A simple, "Oh I misread what you wrote let me edit my original comment" would have ended the entire kerfuffle. As for beating me down on price, he might have tried. If this gun ends up being sold, it will be sold for enough to make it worth my time. It's not like I set out to sell a gun. lol

Anybody have any tips/advice/input on shipmygun.com? Apparently this thing is getting sold and I’ve never done this before so anybody with helpful info on shipmygun.com would be appreciated. Do’s, dont’s, etc. Thanks.

Never used "shipmygun" so I can't answer on that, but I ship from a local FFL to an FFL of the buyer's choice. It's pretty straight forward. Having the buyer provide me with his/her full legal name, address, phone number and FFL contact. I provide them my FFL's contact information and either let the FFL's communicate, provide a copy of the receiving FFL's license, or I contact the receiving FFL and get the copy and give it to the shipping FFL when I take the firearm to him. I prepare the box, remove mag, clear and lock open the gun. Take it in, let the FFL log it, then I will package it, and tape it with a copy of the buyer's information in the box, and a bill of sale, pay the FFL and get a tracking number and send that to the buyer. I have sold half a dozen guns that way over the past 20 years and it has never been a hassle. The cost is typically less than $40 with insurance and FFL transfer fee. Hope that helps. Shipmygun is cheap but it is slow. I thought it would be instantaneous. Put in the information, pay the tab, download the label. Not quite. Do the first two steps and then somebody from Buds Gun Shop will review it and send you the label. I didn't know it was Buds. I swore off any business with them for their shenanigans in the past. I guess they snuck $39.10 more out of me this time.

Yep. Find one or three local FFL folks and give them the business, it puts a few vittles on their table, and gives you a less stress venue to your needs. "the meaning of life, is to give life meaning" ✡ Ani Yehudi אני יהודי Le'olam lo shuv לעולם לא שוב!

If I sell another gun I need to go that route. I went to a UPS Customer Center (warehouse) that SMG tells you to go to and the lady very nicely tells me that they don't ship guns anymore from that location. I ask her where the nearest one is and she waffles and basically says you can't get there which I find oddly disconcerting since I can get lots of places. lol. She did however tell me she would make an exception this time and take it and ship it. It was all slightly confusing.

I use Pawn Shop Guy in Apopka (across the street from Mullinax Ford) for both incoming and outgoing transfers. We plain folks have to ship by UPS or FedEx, very expen$sive. FFL dude(tte)s can ship by Priority Mail, so even with paying the FFL fee, it's a money saver, and he doesn't give you a run-around; Pawn Shop Guy is straight-up and just gets the job done. I have been using him for many years. For outgoing, I pack the firearm in a "If it fits, it ships" Priority Mail box, do NOT seal it, as he will have to inspect it. I buy and print a Priority Mail label on PirateShip.com (same USPS Priority Mail service, but with a discount), and hand the whole thing to FFL, who does the paperwork, seals the box, and turns it over to his mail carrier. Easy-peasy. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Feel free to report me Hildur because screw you. You clearly called me a liar in this paragraph. I ignored your dumb ass because you have a habit of being a dick on my threads. I ignored you. Until you actually were so dumb as to act like "see where I am going with this" isn't calling me a liar. If you aren't calling me a liar then you are so dumb as to not understand how words work. And no I won't explain it to you because, well, refer to the first sentence of this paragraph. Don't call me a liar and expect me to explain it all to you. Just 'cause your little brain can't work out the scenario doesn't mean I'm breaking out the crayons to explain it to you. As for the other comment, yes I thought it would be instantaneous. Pay your money, pick an FFL on their list, and a mailing label would be sent. I'm not sure how that makes me the moron here. Why it takes days for them to send a mailing label on an FFL that is on their list seems nonsensical to me. I reread your post, you do understand I meant shipmygun emailing the label instantaneously, not instantaneously transporting the firearm. I didn't explicitly state that but I assumed we can fill in certain blanks. If not, then yea I meant instantly send me a shipping label after I paid for it. I won't ever use them again for a couple reasons. First the delay makes no sense to me, second the UPS lady basically told me I can't do this but said she would make an exception this time. I don't want to pay them, get a label, and then be told UPS won't accept it after all, which is exactly what she did until she didn't. It was a goofy scenario all the way around. On the positive side the gun sold for way more than I anticipated which is why I considered doing it in the first place. He is happy, I am happy, it was a win. And I probably won't ever do it again. lol

Oh and just in case you can't count as well, here was the second time I ignored you (Hildur) calling me a liar. Separate post, equally ignorant. Funny thing is I think you were actually arguing with tator because I tend to usually not respond to your bullshit. Probably a good policy for me.

The fact is I never called you a liar. I said you were wrong and you broke your word multiple times because you did. I had a THEORY that you never took pictures because any sane person would simply send the pictures once they were taken and the medium was established. Clearly you lack common sense and sanity and sat on pictures that could have been sent but weren't. Grade A piece of shit attitude you got there. Now I'm calling you a liar because before you were just a pretentious prick and a shit person. This time you're accusing me of saying something I didn't say, can't prove that I said it and you can't prove it because it wasn't said. Yet here you are doubling down continuing to say I said it. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt in your OP. I should have known better because based on your post history you've always been a piece of shit. Add liar to your resume. P.S. Ignoring someone doesn't mean you call them out by name telling them you're ignoring them, you ignoramus.
