@ Uriah,

There is an S/N information in your chart about the P220 that's not correct. The serial number for for the reinforced frame is 211299, NOT G 219166. I got this information confirmed from Sauer in Eckernförde and Nill in Mössingen. G211299 has the old frame, G211300 the reinforced, new frame.

Similar information about the P226/P228/P229 about the hammer spring seat althoug not as reliable because there's a transition time between the low and when the high seat became standard. The new seat became standard with
P226: U583575
P228: B277922
P229: AG18368
pistols with lower serial numbers, but close to those mentioned might be equipped with either the old type or have the new one alredy. It depends a little bit how the sites dealt with their inventory of empty frames. Both is possible.

Regards, Daniel

My latest P6:

Unusual slide markings and the usual early double Waffen proofs on the right side of the chin. I'll post pictures of the slide later.

Hello, my SF membership just got approved, figured I would post mine here as well, such a useful thread!!

P226ST(.40)- U682 3XX, purchased used and ALL stickers removed from box, so manufacture date unknown, cannot find proof marks anywhere, but have yet to do anything more than a field strip. Got it for $500 used!! Lovely pistol!! WIll update if a more thorough diassembly turns up anything more useful.

P229R Equinox- E29R-40-EQ, Date on box is 29-JUL-2010, SER: AGU 059XX, another beautiful pistol, $700 NEW, feel like I stole it Smile.

P220ST- 220-45-SSS-G, G3362XX got this one for about $650 from Cabela's, picked up from FFL to find... bright side, an unexpected extra Sig Mec-Gar mag(?... Made in Italy anyway, although cannot find MeC-Gar aftermarket P220 mags Frown ), not so bright side the slide doesn't lock back, seems that slide catch lever spring is WAY stiffer than on my P226, enough to overcome the mag spring, that cannot be good for feeding either. Also the slide catch lever has so much side to side play that you have to jiggle it to get the slide back on after field stripping it :/... so off to Sig it goes for their spa treatment.

Love this site, I have ALOT of reading to do, I have found some GREAT info on here so far, I hope to be able to contribute soon as I learn more about these pistols. I just obtained all three of these in the last month. I have been wanting a 220 (and the complimentary P226) for 20+ years but couldn't afford at the time, and this was before I had even heard of all ST variants. Just recently I got back into shooting/competition, and all I owned pistol-wise was an S&W 19-6 .357 snubbie (love it for a BUG with CCW), and I recently purchased an xD 9mm subcompact, with a few hundred rounds through each in the last few months, both nice pistols. I have owned several Glocks (17, 22, and one or two others) over time, which while I know they are ultra field reliable, just didn't do it for me Frown. Then I made the mistake of holding a 226ST last month I found in Cabela's gun library that had been there a while, and it was obvious that these pistols are in a class of their own. They cut me a heck of a deal since it had been there for a while and looked "beat-up", but I know better, the ST is a tank, and will outlive me assuredly. It was obviously a duty weapon, with plenty of holster wear, but a mirror like bore. Due to other obligations (work, xmas for family, needing to get ammo), I have yet to fire any of them, but I am VERY much looking forward to it Smile.

Will update this thread when/if I get more info on my three Sig's and any others that I get, thanks!

sig sauer p229 ns 40 cal s&w serial # AD 14XXX. Bought it used for around 650.00. I think it was bought around 1995 all black came in a grey case. The top slide made in USA and frame made in germany.. It has a marking with a circle and in the circle is a triangle with curved lines coming off of it on the frame of the gun. The instruction booklet is in eng/german.and it has triple serial #s on it. hope this helps. thanks

Unless they're manufactured and assembled in Germany, yes.
