well, tomorrow I am buying an unfired S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman 6" barrel, with box, papers and tools. Hadn't intended to, but sometimes, stuff just happens.

Will only buy if I can find in good used condition at the right price. Otherwise, I'll just wait. My list seems to change throughout the year anyway.

Well just picked up a Steyr M9-a1 and with Talon grips it just feels awesome and a FN 9c, Both feel great and can't wait to shoot them.

I'm thinking this just might be the year I get off my butt and make a stainless or nickel Winchester 1872 or 1892 clone in .357 happen. Would be happy with a good Marlin 1894 in .357. I've been wanting one for decades, I've got some things I can sell off to fund one, and it would be one of those guns I'd actually look forward to taking to the range and spending some time with.

Due to the laws in Washington that changed this last year, I'm well-stocked on black plastic stuff for the foreseeable future. After all that scrambling, I want to pick up something that's just pure fun this year.

I like to vaguely plan what I'll buy, and try not to be carried away.

One thing I do that I'd recommend, is electronically set funds aside. I have checking, savings, and slush. Every week a little goes to savings, and slush. Either is there for actual emergency, but the slush one is the one I'm allowed to dip into.

I'd definitely recommend setting up a basic savings shut like this. But it also works great to keep a budget on the guns.
