It means that past events have caused the pendulum to swing in the other direction; a counter-balance in the political life of the USA has now begun. This divisiveness can not continue on indefinitely; a solution must be found. Otherwise these angry words will eventually lead to further violence; that is inevitable. The Left does not want to accept any viewpoint that is not theirs. And the Right has finally grown tired of the Left's on-going temper tantrum; I know I surely have! As in any marriage, when one partner REFUSES to listen to and work with the other partner, and refuses to go to counseling to work through those differences, then it is time to split, and for each go their own way. Contrary to what Lincoln said, the Union is not "perpetual"; nothing lasts forever, not even a political marriage of divergent States. Let the Left have the urban population centers of the littoral areas (up to 150 miles inland) on both oceans. They can also have Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, and all of Minnesota too. The Right gets the rest, to include the Gulf Coast. Population movement will be allowed freely for up to 5 years, as there are many of different political persuasions that won't want to live in the newly re-orientated areas. After that, 2 or more separate political entities will then exist in what was the former USA. I have thought that the USA, as it is currently constituted, would eventually split itself into two separate political entities. This website author says we are already there, "de facto"-wise and eventually "de jure"-wise too, and will split into Coastal America (Clinton Archipelago) and Middle ("Fly-Over") America (TrumpLand). He makes the reasoned case that I've been saying for some time.
