Was hoping to wear my new Tissot in Belize this coming week. Still not shipped from the 5/25. Rare for Jomashop

Nice looking Helm Grumpy. That blue/orange dial really pops! I'm on the waiting list for another one too!

My poor Luminox

I occasionally will wear my cloth banded watches in the shower to clean them a bit. I put it on the shower door ledge, about 6' to the floor when I accidentally knocked it off. Didn't worry about it, didn't think anything would break. Holy cow! It looks like I hit it with a hammer.

Luminox has a two year warranty and it looks like I have a couple months left. No receipt though.

Yep, ceramic tile. Luminox site says I need the receipt, don't have it. I wonder if it's easy for Dave to pull one up?

My brother recently had something similar happen to his Casio Marlin. He was on a cruise, and somehow dropped it from about four feet onto the deck. It must have hit just right, because the crystal fractured. Fortunately, a Marlin is a lot less expensive than a Luminox, and a replacement was cheaper than a repair would have been.

This was the first watch I bought myself and wore regularly as an adult. After about a year the strap began to degrade and I lost it surfing at Croatan beach (Va Beach opposite side of rudee inlet/1st street.) I replaced it with the same watch and lost the replacement surfing as well.

Fast forward about 20 years and I am a Timex Expedition owner again although this one has the same name and the similarities end there.

Titanium case, sapphire crystal, display caseback and Seiko NH35 movement. All in all this is one hell of a watch other the sub $400 price tag. It would cost me more than that to mod a Seiko SKX to that level.

I’ve slowed down a bit but here is my 2026 summer watch.

Editing to answer my own question: Yes, it does have a screw-down crown.

Timex is making some cool watches

In other news. After waiting a solid two weeks for my Tissot to ship, I cancelled the order

David got me my Luminox receipt very quickly, he is the MAN. I will be submitting a warranty claim today

BigSwede, had one watch from Jomashop not ship for a LOOOOOOONG time. Eventually they shipped me a different watch of equal value. They may have oversold their stock.

Definitely rare from Jomashop.

As someone in the watch industry and looking at Luminoxs website the crystal is not covered under warranty as it's considered a wear and tear part. Especially if impacted/dropped.

The fee should be pretty reasonable around 40-50 bucks on average for a regular watch.

Oh, that's awesome. Thank you!

I've wanted a metal bracelet for this one. The nylon is nice and casual for summer, but that bracelet would dress it up a good bit.

Island Watch link, for others who may be interested too.
