Did considerable shooting with three rifles yesterday.
Two had aac adapters on,that sure changed the impact.then I installed the can and shot some more.
Those two items sure play havoc with a sighted in rifle.
I knew it would be somewhat off going into it though.
Everything is great with those of mine,I also wound up shooting three other folks rifles, checking their zero's
I let one shooter that had a bolt 270 shoot one of my A/R,thought I was going to have to take it from him,He fell in love with it,I got him on a couple sights he can build his own.
I really enjoyed helping coaching shooters .

I must have missed the part where you said you sized them.. Did you size them already?

EXX - Good question and good catch - What I meant to say was resize/deprimed not decaped.....Good of you to ask and verify or I would have screwed up 500rds of brass by not resizing before trimming.....

Keep check on me because at my age forgetting to do something or doing something out of order could happen..... Big Grin...Mark

Lol. No worries. Glad to hear you're still remembering to do it right, if not type it right. Big Grin

I just got back from the range. My subsonic 9mm rounds ran with the can flawlessly. But, by 45acp rounds that were trouble-free previously, have now decided to give me shit. I had one short stroke the slide, and ended up with a nose dive jam. Dammit. Oh well, they could probably stand another tenth or two of powder as they were loaded pretty light to begin with.

A buddy was there with his usp tactical and the can he just picked up yesterday. It was a great afternoon.

Just finished sorting, cleaning and de-Glocked about 1500-1600 (WAG) .45 ACP brass I picked up after the county Sheriff deputies used our range for practice yesterday morning...the nickel plated is Fed +P and the brass cases are PMC...since I only load and shoot .45ACP in revolvers this haul will last me many years Smile. ..

Sorted all the brass I picked up at 3gun Sunday. Maybe 700 9mm, couple dozen pieces of once-fired Lake city, most of my blackout brass back, and maybe 200 large primer 45.

Tumbled the 9mm, then pulled that and threw in the 45. Decapped all the blackout brass. Threw the lake city 223 in the bucket with the other unprocessed Lake city.

Picked up over 2 gallon bucket of range brass and sorted that which I picked up....Ended up with over 200rds of 45ACP, almost 300rds of .223, 420 rds of 9mm, and 200rds of 40S&W. I also picked up every piece of rifle brass I could find....Getting a decent collection of various rifle rounds that I will sort and Karma later this year.....Mark

Giraud tri-way 223 showed up the other day. Trimmed 100 or so with it so far. Sweeeeeeeet, of course. Already have one for blackout, so I knew what to expect.

Problem is, I have an entire 5 gallon bucket that needs trimmed. Ugh.

A member of my weekly shooting group just gave me 1 pound of Hi-Skor 700X because he said he didn't like it and wanted to give it a good home.

Nothing quite like free powder that can be used in both shotgun and handgun.

In the lst couple of weeks I have been sorting through 70# of range brass, 42# 45acp, 26# of 9mm, 2# misc, that a friend brought me. I have sorted by size, then by mfg. Then deprimed the 45acp brass to inspect primer pockets. I have run across some primer pockets that have a over size recess cut at the mouth. This cut will cause primers to fail since they have to expand an additional 17% larger where the rounded top is. So far I found around 100 out of ~3300 pieces for the scrap bin. When primer fails at BE level loads it's a big problem. Not worth the risk of damaging the breach face on a custom BE gun.

Between Friday night and Sunday afternoon I pushed a little more than 2,000 40 cal through a Redding Bulge buster, flared and primed 1,000 9mm cases and loaded 600 9mm.

ETA - loaded the other 400 9mm and crimped all 1,000. Now to case gauge them all.

Sorted about 1500 pieces of brass. Most were 9mm but there were about 150 pieces of 40S&W and less than 100 pieces of 45ACP....The 9mm are wet tumbling right. I always conduct an initial wet cleaning because the brass I pick up comes from an outside range and some pieces could have been on the ground for weeks....

Later they will be de-caped and dropped back into the wet tumbler to clean the primer pockets and any residue that was missed from the first wet tumble..... I love it when my brass shines inside and out like they are brand new....Makes it easier to inspect.....Mark
