I remember this from childhood as one of many Saturday morning action/adventure cartoons (mostly Hanna-Barbera) that aired then, later to be cracked down on as "too violent." I recently discovered them on YouTube. Of all the different adaptations of the Lone Ranger (radio, live-action TV, movies and cartoons), this is the most … unusual. Airing at the same time as The Wild Wild West, it featured the science fiction/proto-steampunk aspects of that show. The artwork and animation were very limited. This one (and several others, including piloting a giant "mecha" robot!) featured an analog to Dr. Loveless in TWWW named "Tiny Tom." This one borrowed from a first-season TWWW ("The Night of the Burning Diamond) about a villain who drank an "elixir" made from diamonds (!) to move at extreme speeds to make himself invisible.

I imagine I watched this when it was on but really only remember the regular series. Now Clutch Cargo was an unique cartoon that quite enjoyable back in the day.

I remember it. It was really bad. __________________________ "Sooner or later, wherever people go, there's the law. And sooner or later, they find out that God's already been there." -- John Wayne as Chisum
