The Lone Ranger 1966 -67 cartoon
I remember this from childhood as one of many Saturday morning action/adventure cartoons (mostly Hanna-Barbera) that aired then, later to be cracked down on as "too violent." Big Grin I recently discovered them on YouTube. Of all the different adaptations of the Lone Ranger (radio, live-action TV, movies and cartoons), this is the most … unusual. Airing at the same time as The Wild Wild West, it featured the science fiction/proto-steampunk aspects of that show. The artwork and animation were very limited.

This one (and several others, including piloting a giant "mecha" robot!) featured an analog to Dr. Loveless in TWWW named "Tiny Tom."

This one borrowed from a first-season TWWW ("The Night of the Burning Diamond) about a villain who drank an "elixir" made from diamonds (!) to move at extreme speeds to make himself invisible.

From that same era..Remember the cartoon 'Kimba the White Lion'? Another short lived favorite (at least for me)

The honor for the worst of those action cartoons goes to Super President. Big Grin
