And then there's Leo Moracchinoli, whose schtick is "metalfying" all manner of songs. Many pretty good, others maybe not so much. But all in good fun. -MG

By no means “better,” but extremely effective: The album “Enjoy Every Sandwich,” multiple artists covering Warren Zevon. Literally Al the tracks are magnificent. The most surprising and beautiful is Billy Bob Thornton, of all people, covering The Wind. Bruce Springsteen covers “My Ride’s Here” in a slower tempo that I personally feel fits the material better than the original. And Jordan Zevons “Studebaker” is heartbreaking.

It's very close to being a tie with Tommy James version, But I give the edge to Tiffany Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

I’ve got both the Ry Cooder album that doublesharp posted a song from, and the Trinity Sessions album from Cowboy Junkies. Both great. _______________________________________________________ despite them

You could fill this thread with good Ry Cooder covers. I bought Paradise and Lunch when it first came out and have been a fan ever since. Couple more from Ry Linda Ronstadt covered so many good ones ________________________ God spelled backwards is dog
