This started a few hours early I guess. It was scheduled to start Friday. I watched the first scene until the credits and a little bit more. It had to be the worst thing I've scene in years. Infantile writing, comic book, villainous nazi. Just awful. I don't want to watch anymore, the stupid might creep in through the TV.This message has been edited. Last edited by: 83v45magna,

I watched it last night with my wife. She was less than enthused. As for me, I see it growing on me as an acquired taste, which will NOT be for everyone... Sort of an over-the-top dark comedy action series.

I'll pass. It looks like Jordan Peele is going the Tarantino route, using accepted villains -- nazis, racists, whitey -- to justify vengeance porn. Peele seems talented enough but it's getting kind of embarrassing. I guess he's believing his gushing press.

The opening scene was alright. I started losing interest about 5min later, and that's before worrying about the politics. It just didn't grab me, I guess.
The comments here seem to mirror the reviews on Amazon: every other one is either 5 stars or 1 star. Love it or hate it. I'll probably watch an episode or two to figure which side I'm on.

I am 3 eps in and I like it. Yes it has an air of Tarantino but I like that. It also has a layer of respect for the holocaust. It’s a bit uneven in its humor/oddness vs it’s drama but I am enjoying it.
The acting and casting are very good. The setting and set dressing is good.
There is some heavy handed PC bullshit that is, sigh, to be expected these days but overall I am enjoying it.
It’s like The Man In High Castle Meets Schindlers list as written and directed by Tarantino. Waiting for the “Bear Jew” to make an appearance. .
Yes it’s a revenge fantasy but if anybody ever deserved to be hunted down and eradicated in the most horrible ways....well Nazi camp personnel rank pretty friggin high.

There are actors who I think make no matter what they are in better. Idris Elba, Kurt Russell, Judi Dench for example. Saul Rubinik makes that list for me. So that helps.

Not having seen anything but the trailers, I find myself slightly concerned that imitator "Nazi hunters" might go and get themselves killified by an evil gun owner defending himself IRL. Not that losing a few antifa types would be any great tragedy, but still not good publicity for the cause.
Apologies if this is seen as introducing politics into a non-political thread, however it seems that the intent of the film makers is intrinsically political.

My threshold of entertainment is pretty low, but holy FUCK that was bad. I forced myself to get past the opening scene and lasted another minute or two before I had to either shut it off or lose my supper.
Al Pacino should be ashamed of himself for having anything to do with that turkey.

As a person very inclined to like the topic and the production, I'm struggling to stick with it. Just a little too over the top...as in WAY over the top. Two episodes in. I'll give it one more and see if I can stick with it.

Saw the first episode and the character development was tedious but we decided it was ok. The 2nd episode was utterly boring. I am losing interest fast.
Watched the first two but it was late at night and I must have been half-asleep and need to go back over it again to understand better. The going-back and forth in time kills me no matter who is doing it. I think it was OK but going to re-watch.
Okay. I'm pleased to say the show moves toward an interesting drama with dark comedy elements instead of being way over the top all of the time by episodes 3 and 4.
It does get better.

I've watched the first two episodes. It's ok, at first I was off-put by how over the top that opening scene is, but it's ok. I'll stick around for more. As long as you're not expecting some realistic portrayal, it's a comic book about hunting some real bad dudes who probably had it coming.

Is that the first scene where the girl was too young in 1977 to be in the camps?
I pop culture pod I listen to mirrors most of the comments here.
I watched the first episode and thought it was just silly. A word of warning on the first episode if you haven't seen it, there is a naked granny shower seen in it you can't unsee, just letting you know.
