10. Rick Astley - 'Never Gonna Give You Up'
9. Taco - 'Puttin' On The Ritz'
8. Toni Basil - 'Mickey'
7. Bobby McFerrin - 'Don't Worry Be Happy'
6. Falco - 'Rock Me Amadeus'
5. Men Without Hats - 'The Safety Dance'
4. Wham! - 'Wake Me Up (Before You Go Go)'
3. Chris de Burgh - 'Lady In Red'
2. Europe - 'The Final Countdown'
1. Starship - 'We Built This City'

Not going to lie. I like some of these.

The list would seem incomplete without this one

I agree with #1. Europe just got overplayed.

I like the rest.

May I submit Video killed the radio stars by The Buggles?

Hate it with passion. Can't stand the fact that The Buggles later joined Yes (and nearly killed it IMO) for the Drama album. Worst Yes album ever.

Safety song still plays regularly on local radios. WTF?

I liked every song on the list.
But I do remember them overplaying Don't worry be happy to death.

I was listening to Europe the other night at work, along with Flock of Seagulls, The Cars, Duran Duran etc.. I had some 80's hit loop playing on Youtube.

So we have final countdown on the list, but not one Culture Club song makes the worst 10 list???

I call BS. "Do you really want to hurt me?" has got to be the most noxious, turn-the-channel-right-this-millisecond song I ever heard. From the first time it came on, to today. Karma Chameleon? Oy.

My most hated is Katrina & The Waves's "Walking on Sunshine." It's really grating since they also use it in so many inane commercials and movie trailers.

The Beach Boys's "Kokomo" is also up there.

No, the worst song of the 80s was Dire Straits Money For Nothing.

I'd post the video but I hate it too much to even go there.

Toni is cool. The song is cool too, and iirc they didn't give it enough air time, imho.

"Tainted Love" by Soft Cell should be on a "worst songs" list.
