| Staring back from the abyss  |
Older film with Tom Berenger about a bounty hunter who finds a lost tribe of Injuns. Fictionally set in my neck of the woods, but filmed over the border in BC. Every once in awhile I have to rewatch this movie and I'm never disappointed. Good story, decent acting, great scenery. I think there's a little Lewis Gates in me sometimes. If you haven't seen it, give it a shot. It's on Prime. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. The Founding Fathers gave us this tool to fix an out of control government and we need to use it. | ||

At the end there is a dream sequence where the chief is surrounded by lawmen, helicopters the whole deal. he takes a stake that is tied to his ankle and sticks it in the ground. This is a incredible demonstration of native American lore. "Here I make my stand" and I am not aware that it has ever been shown in film elsewhere. I love this film. I watch it once every couple of years. I like the Wilford Brinkley narration. I know narration isn’t a good fit for everything, but when done properly it can really add to the story. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
