This scene jerked a laugh out of me. Cherry played the response perfectly.

Especially the way Milchick ran out of the room...very comedic.

Exactly!! I’m sitting there thinking, wtf? as the camera pans to Cherry’s face - and he’s showing the same, lol. Well done!

That “Milkshake” has got some moves, doesn’t he, as the drum major for the Choreography and Merriment team?! LOL

My favorite part of the series, so far. That guy is an amazing actor and by far my favorite character.

I hate that it was a cliffhanger, and now I have to wait who-the-hell-knows how long for season 3. I'm thinking that the company is trying to use Gemma to create an emotionless human being that can survive better in the post-apocalyptic, post-nuclear war (it's always winter!) whatever world outside.

Yes, great actor: also enjoyed the scene where he was almost quivering with rage: “Devour feculence”. Perhaps it wasn't the little Asian girl who threw him under the bus after all.

I must mention a one-word quote; more of a screech, really…

“Gretchen!”

since this is a gun forum after all...Question on the goat gun: It's just a powder driven bolt, correct? It looked like he put a loaded cartrige in it, not just a blank.

As others have said, Milchick is my favorite character. So annoying, yet so funny.

I'm 5 episodes into this and it's THE ODDEST show I think I've ever watched. It actually gives me a little bit of an uneasy feeling watching it, please tell me I'm not the only one here.

Have you all noticed that the cars all seem to be circa 1985 or so? I'm starting to wonder when this is actually supposed to be set?

It's also a show I'm quickly finding that I have to give it 100% of my attention; if I glance at my phone for 10-15 seconds, it seems like I miss something and have to go back to it. Definitely not a show to put on and multitask to.

@PASig - it is indeed unsettling to me, as well, and yet I cannot turn away from it.

I’ve read some theories on the aged vehicles ranging from an attempt on the part of the writer(s) to purposely be somewhat ambiguous timeframe-wise to severed workers not being allowed to drive modern vehicles as the tech therein might interact badly with their brain-imbedded chip. All in all, the older vehicle thing adds a layer of mystery to the show to me.

My youngest daughter and her boyfriend are also big fans - I got them matching “Macrodata Refinement” logo t-shirts just for fun.

It's confusing to me and most likely purposefully so because there are modern CCTV cameras and computer monitors here and there but the workstations below are circa 1980's just like the cars are.

I think my favorite character so far is Mr. Milchick. He's so stern one scene then creepily jolly the next. Just so unsettling.

Yes, I absolutely believe it’s designed to be unsettling and there is no way that I can be doing something complex while watching it. So many nuances, even the music.

Been wondering about the cars and other props myself. Perhaps it's like "Archer" where things are jumbled up for no other reason than to keep you guessing?

Also wondering about why it's only ever winter.

In the first episode of this season, Milchick tells Mark it's been five months since the climatic event of the first season's final episode. But later in this season a character questions that, saying only a few days or at most a couple of weeks have gone by. So this could be same winter spanning both seasons of the show.

I have no clue about the old cars. I don't think only severed people have old cars. Not everyone who works at Lumon is severed, and yet the parking lot has only old cars. And Ms. Cobel, who drives an old Rabbit, certainly isn't severed.
