I'm assuming you mean F1
I wish I'd seen it in theaters, but was really hesitant at it being awful, as a big F1 fan.

I was very impressed with it and enjoyed it. A bit of suspension of belief, and some questionable rules bending, but it was much better than I was expecting.

^ Agreed

I have only watched a little of DTS before chucking that. F1 movie actually has served as a vehicle (no pun intended) to introduce some family members to F1.

I hear they are working on a sequel with Tom Cruise as some version of an executive. I'll probably have to hold my nose and yet still watch that one, too. I expect them to move on from the Sonny Hayes-centric narrative and not pull an Avatar (i.e. same movie script 3x in a row).

I could see a 2nd with Pitt moving into a Team Principal or strategist role, and the kid being the lead and taking the championship. Super predictable, but could work.

The movie is more of a milestone for me, marking when Brad Pitt, literally and figuratively, is on the cusp of passing on the dashing leading man role to the next generation.

That’s how you know you’re old - when you’ve seen it happen to Sean Connery and, now, Brad Pitt.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Agree. He can still leading roles, just not as a sportsman.

The movie was ok to me. Just too far fetched. Was a decent watch but nothing spectacular.

Am i the only who, when watching that last scene, was reminded of Mr. & Mrs. Smith?

It seems to be an amalgamation of many movies and story elements. Not sure any movie is original anymore, but this seems to lurch from Days Of Thunder to Le Mans to Grand Prix to Top Gun…
