I really enjoyed this show. Binged through the first season. The plot is a bit from Major League. The wife is trying to lose the season by putting an American football coach as a soccer team. The cultural humor along with the writing is really good.

I posted a thread a while back about this show...

One of the best I’ve watched in a long while.

Should win awards for sure.

Jason Sudeikis really surprised me...he did well.

We really liked it. There are layers of jokes there that will be picked up with multiple viewings.

My favorite part of the season was the "practice" speech which was word for word the Iverson rant.

My buddy and I play a game exactly like this and we thought for sure Sudeikis somehow stole it. Big Grin I absolutely love this show.

We liked it far more than I ever would have guessed. I hope a second season comes out before my free Apple TV+ expires.

It's a wonderfully wholesome show and still has some solid jokes. A lot of fun.

A great show, greater character development. At first it didn't strike me as something to watch but holly cow. Entertaining and not necessarily in a funny way. It's one of those sleeper movies like Usual Suspects.

Once you watch, your hooked.

We really enjoyed the show, but the first season more than the 2nd. The second season really feels like it’s floundering a bit, and the relationship crisis and assistant coach jump off the deep end at the end of the season felt as though it came out of nowhere, and seemed VERY forced.

I really hope they tighten it back up for season 3 with the impending new rival team, etc.

I need to re-watch and catch back up.

I remember Nathan was chosen as head coach of another team and now has a giant chip on his shoulder. Did Richmond get promoted to Premier League at the end or, have they always been in the top-tier league?

I think they missed out on the promotion, or got demoted or something.

They were relegated to Championship league at the end of Season 1 but then promoted back to Premier league at the end of Season 2, setting them up to battle it out with West Ham.

I was a little reluctant to start watching, but this has been a really fun show so far. I am looking forward to season 3.

Well I’m really late to the party for this one. The wife and I just finished season 1 and throughly enjoyed it. Will probably start season 2 tomorrow or the next day.

I've watched the first three episodes of the new season and it doesn't feel as uplifting as the first two seasons. There were even two references to the current political state of the U.S., something I hadn't noticed in the previous seasons. I'm hoping things turn around but if not this will not be as entertaining as it has been.

I don't remember which episode it was. 6 or 7. It was how shall I put it. Kind of stalled. It was a weak one. Hopefully, they'll get things going again.

I've heard a lot of "cringe" comments about the third season.
