Liked her a lot. First black woman to be on the cover of Rolling Stone. Put up with Ike Turner for years. For some reason I thought she had already passed. Must have gotten her confused with Ronnie Spector.

Going to miss knowing she's around. For me she was mainly the Mayor of Bartertown, but I do think she had a hell of a voice and stage presence.

Born the same day as me. She put up with Ike for too long.

RIP, mayor of Bartertown.

RIP Tina. I loved your work.

83 is quite an accomplishment for the hard life she led.

She was great. IIRC she continued to perform concerts into her 70s.

I saw her live in Miami Beach Fla. back in the late 60s. She was still with Ike. What a performer.....endless energy!! I will never forget that show.

Damn, I was just watching a documentary on her a few nights ago.

IMO she wasn't just great, she was downright awesome. This is sad news. I hope she RIP.
