Jack Carr has always admitted being a huge Magnum PI fan. Magnums full name is Thomas Sullivan Magnum. When the Russians were talking about the declassified Vietnam files it showed James Reece’s father’s name as Thomas Sullivan Reece. ________________ People hate you. Train like it.

Cool. I knew Carr was a big Magnum fan, but I guess i'm just a little too young to remember a lot of that show. NRA Life Member Steak: Rare. Coffee: Black. Bourbon: Neat.

Finished binging on it yesterday. It was a very good watch and much above the typical TV/streaming fare being offered these days. I might not always be right, but I'm always me.

I thought Season 2 was pretty good and I hope there is a Season 3 (Savage Son). Also hope there's "Cry Havoc" TV series that goes into Thomas Reece's time with MACV-SOG. If you haven't read the book, do so, it's pretty good. ...let him who has no sword sell his robe and buy one. I became annoyed by the attitude toward the war effort expressed by the protagonist, and gave up on the book about half way through. It wasn’t as if he was depicted as an unwilling, naïve conscript who had no choice about being there. I am officially a grumpy old vet who should stick to fantasy or before-my-time histories. “Most men … can seldom accept the simplest and most obvious truth if it … would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions … which they have woven, thread by thread, into the fabrics of their lives.” — Leo Tolstoy
