Fer chrissakes, Rachel Zegler is a PR nightmare. If she were A-list, she could get away w/ her mouthing off, but she's been writing checks her ass can't cash. Disney has been playing damage control over Snow White for two years, and now they have to deal w/ the latest crap spewed from their title star.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes - hit. I'm sure this film saved her career to this point as a bankable actress.

Y2K - low budget horror movie that releases next Dec 6. It won't need to make that much to turn a profit.

Spellbound - animated movie that releases Nov 22. However well it does, an animated movie's success is more dependent on its animation & story than its voice actors.

Snow White - the outlook on this one looks disastrous.

Zegler is talented and has a great singing voice, but she's treading very thin ice and has been doing just well enough to keep getting cast. Snow White next year will likely make or break her career as a Hollywood leading lady.

Ryan Kinel also did a video on her Instagram apology and noticed that unlike her other posts, this one has capital letters and proper grammar. This was definitely written by a Disney Lawyer. Unlike Gina Carano, it doubt she's going to get fired or forced onto a Xoom call with 30 nutcases about her microaggressions hurting people's fee-fees.

Not defending the movie or Disney, but if you read the reviews it's obvious that IMDb ratings are being manipulated by tens of thousands fake 1 star reviews.

I love that this movie tanked. Minecraft beat the pants off it.

Disney still won't learn, though. They'll continue to put out a bunch of DEI-LGBTQ+ nonsense and altering their original storylines to make farce after farce in the name of being progressive forgetting or just discarding what made these original classics so timeless.

I read that they pulled the plug on a live action version of "Tangled" in the wake of the Snow White disaster.

The original got standing O's in the theaters, not just because of the novelty of a feature-length fully animated movie, but because it was so good; is still one of the highest-grossing movies of all time (adjusted for inflation); and was inducted into the National Film Registry. This one had audiences rooting for the poison apple.

To think Gal Gadot would be envious of that...

What’s worse is Disney knew this 6 months, a full year ago. They knew it would tank. It’s been riddled in controversy for over a year. I mean it was covered well in ET news, YT, etc, so much so that it was like Hiroshima or Nagasaki coming, where a full announcement was made prior to the bombing, 1 full year in advance. They knew they should have just canceled it and taken the L. But Disney has that 7 deadly sin pride. Fuck ‘em.

Stands the test of time, as well. It’s my 4 year old daughter’s favorite Disney movie. We haven’t watched the new one and I don’t plan on it.
