Raised Hands Surround Us Three Nails To Protect Us |
It is never going to change. These folks know good and well the consequences. Entertainers are constantly dying from overdosing. Folks boo and boo but that is it. Clearly they aren’t learning from those lost before. Went to a Breaking Benjamin concert years ago and they did a tribute to nearly every well known musician that was lost to drugs by displaying a picture of two. It was wild to see them all put together like that. This fella is no different and will change nothing. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. He is no longer fighting foo. He was too young, and I am sorry to hear this. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

I have been a fan of Josh Freese since the early 90s, when he was playing with Paul Westerberg, seen him play live a couple of times in clubs, the guy was a hard hitter. One of my all time favorite drummers in music. Glad to see him get a payday gig. Foo Fighters new album dropped today - “But Here We Are”. I can best describe it as a heavy (in music and lyrics) attempt to work out Dave’s grief over recently losing both his mother and his best friend and drummer (Taylor Hawkins) . The lyrics are discernible without needing a lyrics sheet and I think any of the 10 songs on the album (only 48 minutes) could be a hit single on the average album. Songs take a few interesting twists as they progress, and as a person who admits that music causes me tear up more than everyday reality, there are some really tough lyrics and vocals to work through. Typically I don’t read The NY Times, but they did a good job on this review. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/0...e-we-are-review.html There 3 songs stuck out, but the whole Album is amazing - I’m on my 3rd listen today…not as background music, but straight up listening and appreciating the emotion and depth of the lyrics. But Here We Are The Teacher - written for Dave’s mom Rest - ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
