What a start for the Marquez brothers! Marc has an over 30 point lead on Peco and Alex is getting closer to his first win. While I have never been a fan of Marc, I do recognize his talent. Stoner and Rossi along with all of the American talent (past talent) have been my favorite riders. Having raced off-road most of my life, watching the current best of the best is quite the show. This year's racing in all disciplines will be incredible. “Our actions may be impeded... But there can be no impeding our intentions or our dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt. The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting. The impeding to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.” ― Marcus Aurelius

A number of us are already sick of the Marquez bs. Too many rubbing honey all over each other. First 2 races, and first 2 sprints and out of 12 podium spots, total, 11 of 12 spots are the same exact riders, in the exact same positions. And a complete lockout by Ducati. Austin will largely be the same. I loathe Marquez so it’s not going to be a good season. The media is pushing the Marquez narrative up all of our asses and I don’t follow their pushed narrative, ever. The sport badly needs some competition via other mfr’s and riders or it’s boring AF. When Valentino was winning everything like this, he chose to go to a shittier bike, and prove the rider makes the difference, and did it. Marquez just goes where the best bike is and it’s not the same. Not even remotely. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

I finally watched both races. What a great day for Aprilia and Bez!!!! I hate to see the win come at the expense of Yamaha & Fabio facing a technical malfunction but a win is a win. This is great because now it takes all the wind out of the sails of Jorge Martin and his argument that the Ape is not competitive. Time for the champ to step up and quit trying to quit the team he chose to race for. All in all Silverstone was a fun race to watch!!! I loved seeing Luca and Mir near the front! Honda has made strides forward. Zarco looked good too!! Honda is slowly improving and Yamaha looked unbeatable with Fabio until the damn ride height malfunction. I am NOT a Fabio fan but I felt bad for him while watching the race. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Zarco is embarrassing the factory HRC team, big time. 1st at LeMans, 2nd at Silverstone. Bez, oh yeah! I was yelling at the flat panel. One, I got to hear the Italian national anthem (my favorite after ours), two it’s one of Vale’s guys, VR|46 academy, and three, this is after a tumultuous adaptation to the Ape. Marco even said he had zero experience being lead development rider and he had to adapt. Adapt he has done. Phenomenal ride. Fabio was on the soft front, Marco was on the medium front. So even if Fabio’s rear ride height device hadn’t failed (can’t wait to see all that shit banned in 2027), Marco would have got him anyways, last 5 laps or so. So Fabio got robbed of a 2nd. And damnit I wanted Morbidelli to get Marc at the end, so close. Marc only got him back by a foot. Bikes were near neck and neck, photo finish. Yeah this is a severe blow to Martin. He’s caused all his own problems yet he is trying to do a LeFlop move, trying to move to HRC. Really? Aprilia broke their own bank paying him. Highest they’ve ever paid any rider to ride for them. Yet Bez, is just putting his head down, grinding it out, and learning how to be lead rider and lead development rider. It’s nice to see “just” in sport. “Rigged” is the more usual thing you see. Marco deserves this. I just hope that means the Ape will work at more circuits not just a few. The Ape has won at Silverstone prior so they have a lot more work to do to be competitive everywhere. This is still the Ducati cup. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Jorge intends to leave Aprilia To make a statement like this RIGHT AFTER your teammate wins a damn race on a Aprilia makes it impossible for me to be a fan of Jorge Martin. What a bitch move to make as a champion. This is hands down the worst title defense ever and makes a bad situation so much worse in my eyes. Fuck Jorge Martin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

He has barely done any laps on the Ape all year, through his own fault, not the bike. Bez’s delay of success, and Aprilia’s has come, somewhat, from not having 2 factory riders on the bike developing it in tandem and Bez has been forthcoming that he did not have development rider experience. In other words he has been very real, open, and honest. Honda is in Jorge’s ear, big time. Puig heavily involved no doubt. Honda is without a “big” or “major” MotoGP rider at the moment. This is as much Honda’s doing as it Martin’s. And Martin is the blame because he could have stayed with Ducati, on a factory Ducati with full factory support this year but elected to leave. Yeah he deserved the factory seat along side Pecco, but Marquez does all the Marquez things. Pramac only let Ducati to be Yamaha’s satellite team because Martin refused to stay on. So Jorge is his own problem and issue. Honda is probably offering him even more money than Aprilia. Whatever. Maybe Bez will vouch for Marini and Aprilia will take him on and we’ll have two VR|46 teams next year. The VR|46 Team and factory Aprilia. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

I know it may be a bit early but I don’t see how this does not end up being the worst title defense in MotoGP history. Jorge can shift blame to Aprilia all he wants but I really don’t think he can escape the reality of the situation and how he managed to make it worse. Looking at the comments on multiple social media platforms it seems like the vast majority of people share my opinion on the matter. Ducati is looking brilliant for denying him the factory seat after this cluster and how he has handled it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Yeah saw that yesterday. Miguel is probably going to lose his job and he’s a multi race winner in MotoGP. He’s been dealing with injuries all year. So either he gets fucked over for Jack Miller. And Jack has been doing excellently this year on the Yamaha. Many races he’s besting the factory guys. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

The sport is doing just fine. Something like 400 million viewers per year. The great thing about the sport is that it’s a world sport and hasn’t been homogenized (well the Sprint races are). I hope they don’t commercialize it too much. They are already all over the social medias. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone
