This show was on my wife's list and thought I might give it a try. Starting premise is Hollywood setting an aging friendship between Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin. Washed up actor now teaching and high power agent. Excellent show depicting two old guys and the funny things they go through. It might be easier to list who's not on this show. Part timers include Nancy Travis, Jane Seymour, Paul Reiser, Kathleen Turner. Guests include Allison Janney, Morgan Freeman, Elliott Gould, Jay Leno, Danny DeVito who was superb, and they even dusted off Jacqueline Bisset. I haven't seen that episode yet, and they take a nice piss or two on the whole Hollywood thing. I'm really enjoying this one. Give it a try if you're so inclined. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

My wife and I already watched it. Found it very enjoyable. "America is at that awkward stage. my wife and I also watched this some time ago. Excellent, our second favorite series behind Queens Gambit. Second season is as good as or maybe even better than the first. And its only the two seasons for the whole run, which I prefer to those that go five or more seasons,

There is a season 3. A big change but still really good. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

excellent show, a bit slower paced, compared to some others, which we found refreshing, wife and I watched it a couple years ago, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

You are right, three seasons. We did watch all three, it was just so long ago I forgot. So I have to amend my post to say season three may have been the best of all. Kathleen Turner is almost unrecognizable if anyone remembers watching her in Body Heat (also one of my favorites) but outstanding.

Yes, I was looking at the cast on saw her name. That's how I found out it was her. Turner and Douglas really play well off of one another. And, to be honest with you it took a couple of episodes for me to recognize Paul Reiser. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

I recognized the voice,, and the way he speaks (accent?) since we had just watched Stranger Things, but could not place it until after the episode was over looked it up, and was surprised, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

I thought it was really good, as well. Arkin, in particular, gives a great performance, but there isn't a slacker in the whole cast. And that they wrote the story they wanted to tell and told it in two seasons and then finished is great. It is terrible when they try to torment another few seasons out of a show that is over. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

BTW - you forgot to list Ann-Margaret as a widow elbowing out the competition to try and put the moves on newly widowed Alan Arkin at his wife's funeral!
