Gene was crucial to the success of the two films. IIRC, Gene wrote much of the script for "Young Frankenstein". And saved Mel when in a crunch for "Blazing Saddles"..Mel's cast lead actor bailed out on him. Looked that up on the Wiki, and I was right. | |||
