I'm happy to hear about this. And I think the selection of Anika Nilles as drummer is an interesting choice. I also think Neil is perfectly fine with it and happy to see his friends continue.

Not getting close to me. Not that it will matter I just won't pay large venue act ticket prices anymore. Its a 12 show tour for the summer of 2026. Pretty leisurely pace, but they are in their 70's. Glad to hear they'll be at it again. I'll buy the DVD.

I got to watch Rush 40 live and loved it. I'll probably get the CD when it comes out. There's also talk of them possibly getting a keyboard player to free up Geddy so he can just play bass at his old age.

Excited that they are going back on the road, but nothing close to Florida. I remember seeing them on the Permanent Waves tour and I think the tickets were $10.00 for floor seats.

Rush was the first concert I ever went to in 1985, and have fond memories. Not sure I will see them again. There are very few national arena touring acts I'm going to anymore and paying $150+ tickets.
There is a 90 year old 1,200 seat theater 2 miles from my house. 3 or 4 times a year bands that I like play there for $28 to $60. In the last few years I have seen Lukas Nelson, Silversun Pickups, and my friends Pink Floyd tribute band play there. That's more my style these days.

I took my 4 yo son to see Snakes and Arrows at Chicago's United Center just after his 4th birthday. I took him in 2011 for the Time Machine tour. I will likely have no choice when they return to Chicago. I turned my kid into a Floyd, Zeppelin, and Rush fanatic.
There’s worse things in life I suppose.
I have seen just a bit of Anika Nilles (Rush’s touring drummer) now, and I’m not a big fan of her musical style but wow does that woman have chops! She will have no problem playing Neil’s role and not just just at a copycat level. That girl has feel and nuance. I miss Neil terribly but I know I will enjoy seeing her with the boys.
