Anyone here besides myself that watch Midsomer Murders? Here in Austin, it runs on Thrusday nights on welfare television.

The episode broadcast last Thursday was entitled Dark Secrets. It was first aired in 2011 in the UK. The surprise murderer was Edward Fox. You remember him, don't you? He portrayed 'The Jackal' in the 1973 Day of the Jackal.

My wife and I are into about season 12. It's a pretty good series. I enjoy tallying the murders in the little English villages - typically three per episode.

I watched them all. Lots of very posh people screwing and killing each other. Murder weapon of choice was the veddy British high $$ double barrel.
It was a great show!

I prefer the old detective Barnaby to the new one...

I'm recuperating from an injury and recorded several episode off of Directv's channel 274... 4 minutes of commercials every 6 minutes... even with the digital recorder fast forwarding through them .. just too much of a pain... give me that 'welfare' TV channel any day as long as it is not beggathon time....

I prefer to watch John Nettles playing Tom Barnaby vs Neil Dudgeon playing John Barnaby too.

I really love these Brit shows. They have real actors with great story writing and no computer generated crap. The scenery is great and I enjoy seeing the older architecture. If you watch closely, you can see how short the doorways and ceilings of older building interiors are. The actors actually duck as they pass through doorways.

He was awesome in Bergerac, a series set in the Channel Islands (UK) with added bonus Triumph Roadster vintage sportscar content!

Raingirl and I watch them on PBS.
I own a few seasons on DVD.

John Nettles was best, but even now, it is better than a lot of the schlock on TV.

And Sgt Troy and his driving...LOL

Ive seen through season 19 on Netflix. An excellent series!

I will say that Midsummer place sure has one more high crime rate.... it averages 2-3 murders every episode.
