I never get tired of watching Mr. Knopfler play this classic.

Love this song, and the album, I was 12 when it came out and one of the first albums I bought. IMO, one of the best debut albums ever.

This song was played over and over in the jukebox of the Dairy Queen where I worked my first job when I was 16 in 1978.

Big DS fan, I wore their first 3 albums out on vinyl.

Difference is, I could listen to most DS on repeat without boring of it.

Had a college roommate with a Mexican Strat & an amp.
He repeatedly played 2 songs. Nugent - Stranglehold & Beatles - Octopus's Garden.
Got to the point I didn't want to hear anything from either group.

MK is a great one. Particularly like the video of him and Chet Atkins. Great stuff!

Thank you for sharing.

DS was the music we listened to on our way to New Buffalo, MI in 1985. Yes, on a cassette. Smile

Every time I hear DS, it takes me back to that roadtrip. Good times for sure.

Wow, that was great.

Hard to imagine that was almost 30 years ago.

Saw him in 1991 with the same guitar at University of Illinois Assembly Hall. Good seats. Probably the best live sound mix I've ever heard.
