You can't convince me that the whole orchestra is TRANS!

Snort.

Saw them live once. Decent but wouldn't do it twice unless it was free.

If you have a K Love radio station playing Christmas music they have a really good mix with a lot of songs you don’t hear in the mainstream.

If you don’t have a K Love station locally playing Christmas music you can download their app and choose their Christmas station.

I went and saw TSO once. It was a little too over the top for me, not to mention too LOUD. My ears were ringing before it was over. Mannheim Steamroller is my favorite Christmas performance.

For new(ish) songs, my favorite is Sia's Candy Cane Lane. It's got a Phil Spector "wall of sound" quality to it. The Ronettes could've easily done it, back in the day.

Older stuff is now largely boring, but there's stuff under the radar to be found; it's just not as "commercial". June Christy has some hidden gems. Ernie Haase/Signature Sound, too.

But yeah, I'm burned-out on songs I'm "supposed to like". And new artists doing old songs seems a cash-in. But here's one more off-the-radar song I like.

My wife loves Christmas music, and it usually starts right after Thanksgiving, me not so much. We have this in CD somewhere in the house, and I always liked her Christmas music. Still do.

Yeah the lasers were a big negative for my wife.
Was shocked that we could feel the fire from the near the back of the venue.
The first half of the show was great & the typical part most people know. The story part of the 2nd half was a bit meh for me. Really hard to hear the narration. I'd take just the first half for a lower ticket price.

Wouldn't mind seeing Mannheim

I didn't know that Klink, Schultz, and LeBeau could sing that well.

I sing in a barbershop quartet. This time of year we hit some rest homes, hopefully bringing some Christmas cheer to the elderly.

This year we are singing:

Angles we have Heard on High
White Christmas
Silent Night
Jingle Bells

We enjoy singing to them and they appreciate our visitatiion.

Mike

Here's an article and map showing what the authors believe to be the favorite Christmas songs by state, with YouTube links to listen if they're unfamiliar:

As a card-carrying old fogey when it comes to music, maybe half of these songs I actually recognize. Eek

Not posting this to claim these actually are the favorite in any state (data sources were unspecified) but if folks are looking for new/different songs, maybe this will give some ideas.
