If you need an audio only podcast with serious military historians discussing the entire Pacific War, check out the Unauthorized History of the Pacific War Podcast.

The primary hosts are the Deputy Director of the Mississippi Military Museum and a retired Navy sub commander (USS Indianapolis), but they bring in folks like Dave Holland, who knows Guadalcanal having lived there for years and years and Ken Parshall, a noted Navy historian.

Each episode is a discussion of a specific action or event during the war.

I HIGHLY recommend this podcast.

Been listening to episodes over the last 4-months, very solid. Wished the production quality was a bit better but, I'll take it as the content is very good.

JON Parshall is the co-author (with Anthony Tully) of the incredible Shattered Sword about the Battle of Midway.

As for Unauthorized History, I've listened to several and they are very good. The primary host Seth Paridon is excellent but Bill Toti (sub guy) not so much. Some of his woke comments are cringeworthy.
